El escenario deportivo fue el estadio Mané Garrincha de Brasilia, nombre en homenaje al destacado futbolista brasilero que ganó dos veces el mundial de fútbol, reconocido como el 8º mejor jugador del siglo XX.

En un partido que pudo estar para cualquiera de las dos selecciones sudamericanas, tanto Perú como Colombia, hoy llamado Mané Garrincha, donde dieron un gran espectáculo del deporte rey, La Bicolor nacional abrió el marcador y el Tricolor se encargó de darle vuelta al mismo, precisamente faltando menos del minuto final la nación cafetera anotó el gol de la victoria.

ESTOS FUERON LOS GOLES DE AMABOS SELECCIONADOS
Yoshimar Yotún (44′) y Gianluca Lapadula (81′) anotaron para la selección Inca, mientras que la onceava colombiana los goles vinieron por las individualidades de Juan Guillermo Cuadrado (48′) y Luis Díaz (65′ y 93′), logrando alcanzar un tercer lugar en el podio de los vencedores de esta Copa América,2021.

*Primer triunfo de Colombia frente a Perú por CONMEBOL Copa América en campo neutral y tercer triunfo de la selección colombiana en 18 partidos ante los peruanos en la competencia (7E 8D).

*El gol de Juan Cuadrado fue el primero de falta directa de la selección de Colombia en un partido de Copa América en el siglo XXI.

PREMIOS DE LA COPA AMÉRICA 2021
En esta edición la Conmebol entregará un premio económico a cada una de las cuatro semifinalistas. Además de esto, cada equipo recibirá un monto que asciende a 4 millones de dólares solo por su participación, con el fin de cubrir gastos de preparación y logística.

El equipo que logre el campeonato de la Copa América 2021 se llevará 10 millones de dólares. Más de dos millones adicionales de los que ganó Brasil cuando ganó en el 2019.

El subcampeón recibirá un incentivo económico de 5 millones de dólares por su participación en esta Copa América.

La selección que ocupe el tercer puesto se llevaría 4 millones de dólares, aparte de subir al podio para recibir sus medallas.

El equipo que quede en cuarto lugar se quedaría con 3 millones de dólares por su participación en esta Copa América.
