Los últimos días de Junio y primeros días de Julio con la asistencia de autoridades del distrito de Monsefú se inauguraron pozos de agua en los sectores Los Pedregales, Huaca la Cruz en Pómape, Rama Castilla, Monteverde y Ventarrones que abastecerán de agua potable a las familias que habitan esos sectores alejados de la ciudad.
El ingeniero Manuel Pisfil Miñope, Alcalde de Monsefú, acompañado de su consejo de regidores municipales, y con la presencia del padre Manuel Vásquez Gonzales, párroco de Monsefú, del comisario sectorial de Monsefú Mayor PNP Ronald Távara Rodríguez, de Jorge Luis Uypan Curo, líder local de la Iglesia de Jesucristo en Monsefú inauguraron los pozos con el agradecimiento de las familias beneficiadas.
El representante de la Iglesia de Jesucristo, Jorge Uypan mencionó que la ayuda que la iglesia viene brindando a la población, se sigue coordinando con la autoridad local ya que en Monsefú se vienen ejecutando 14 pozos en total para llevar agua a muchas más familias, y que: “esto se hace por los dos grandes mandamientos que el Señor Jesucristo nos enseñó: Amar a Dios con todo nuestro corazón y amar al prójimo”.
El acceso al agua potable mejora la salud y la higiene de la familia. La Iglesia de Jesucristo con su programa de Servicios Humanitarios ayuda a las comunidades a establecer pozos y otros sistemas de agua para proporcionar acceso a agua potable.
