Durante la mañana, Su Majestad el Rey mantendrá un encuentro en la Embajada de España en la República del Perú con una representación de la colectividad española y personal diplomático de la Embajada.
Por la tarde, Don Felipe tendrá una reunión con Pedro Castillo, presidente electo de la República del Perú y las respectivas delegaciones de España y Perú en el Centro de Convenciones de Lima.
A continuación, el Rey, junto a los jefes de Estado y de Gobierno asistentes, presenciará el Acto de Homenaje al Perú, con motivo del bicentenario de su independencia, en la Plaza de Armas de Lima y, a su término, tendrá un encuentro con Francisco Sagasti, presidente de la República del Perú y las respectivas delegaciones, en el Palacio Presidencial.
La jornada finalizará con la asistencia de Su Majestad el Rey a la Cena que ofrecerá Su Excelencia el presidente saliente de la República del Perú en honor de los jefes de Estado y de Gobierno asistentes.
Mañana miércoles, el Rey mantendrá sendos encuentros con Iván Duque, presidente de Colombia, y Sebastián Piñera, presidente de Chile, y asistirá a la Ceremonia de Transmisión del Mando Presidencial y posterior almuerzo que ofrecerá el presidente y la primera dama del Perú, en honor de los jefes de Estado y de Gobierno asistentes.
Su Majestad el Rey representa a España en las tomas de posesión de los presidentes iberoamericanos, tarea que Don Felipe viene asumiendo desde 1996 siendo Príncipe de Asturias.
