Ministro (MTC) Juan Silva viajó a Sullana para supervisar estado de vías y viviendas tras fuerte sismo.

“Los ministerios trabajarán de la mano con las autoridades locales. El actual gobierno busca estar en contacto con la población. Hemos venido para inspeccionar el terreno y tomar acciones inmediatas”, indicó el ministro Silva en reunión de coordinación con las autoridades locales.

Durante la jornada de trabajo, en la que estuvo el titular de Vivienda, Construcción y Saneamiento, Geiner Alvarado, también sostuvieron una reunión con el teniente alcalde de Sullana, Charlys Arévalo, y dirigentes locales para evaluar los daños ocasionados por el sismo.

Además, el ministro Silva dialogó con los ciudadanos del distrito de Miguel Checa-Sojo, en Sullana. De igual forma, inspeccionó los daños en la Villa de Tangarará, distrito de Marcavelica, una de las localidades más afectadas por el sismo.

En ambos lugares reiteró el compromiso del Gobierno Nacional para trabajar de forma coordinada con las autoridades locales y regionales a fin de prestar todo el apoyo requerido por la población.

En ese sentido, señaló que se evaluará la situación con el propósito de declararse en estado de emergencia a la provincia de Sullana, debido a la situación de las viviendas, producto del sismo ocurrido el 30 de julio y las sucesivas réplicas.

Si bien muchas casas han sufrido fuertes daños, cabe destacar que los aeropuertos de Piura y Tumbes funcionan con normalidad. Asimismo, las vías nacionales no presentan daños significativos; y las redes de telefonía ya superaron las incidencias debido al congestionamiento y actualmente el servicio está reestablecido.
