Fue en la plaza José Faustino Sánchez Carrión, ubicada en la parte posterior del Palacio Legislativo. La titular del Parlamento y la tercera vicepresidenta, Patricia Rosa Chirinos Venegas, colocaron una ofrenda floral ante el monumento que lleva el nombre de nuestro prócer de la independencia.
En el acto también participaron el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, Héctor Béjar Rivera; así como congresistas de diversas bancadas y miembros del servicio diplomático.
La ceremonia se inició con el saludo de la presidenta del Congreso a la bandera de guerra, tras lo cual pasó revista a los diferentes destacamentos militares apostados en la plaza José Faustino Sánchez Carrión.
Enseguida se entonó las sagradas notas de nuestro himno nacional y se procedió a la colocación de las ofrendas florales al pie del monumento del también conocido como “El Solitario de Sayán”. La primera pieza floral fue colocada por la Asociación de Funcionarios del Servicio Diplomático del Perú, en tanto que una segunda fue ofrendada por la Academia Diplomática del Perú Javier Pérez de Cuellar.
Finalmente, correspondió hacer lo propio al canciller Héctor Béjar, quien estuvo acompañado del viceministro de Relaciones Exteriores, embajador Luis Enrique Chávez.

It was in the José Faustino Sánchez Carrión square, located at the back of the Legislative Palace. The head of Parliament and the third vice president, Patricia Rosa Chirinos Venegas, placed a wreath in front of the monument that bears the name of our hero of independence.
The event was also attended by the Minister of Foreign Relations, Héctor Béjar Rivera; as well as congressmen from various benches and members of the diplomatic service.
The ceremony began with the greeting of the president of Congress to the war flag, after which she reviewed the different military detachments stationed in the José Faustino Sánchez Carrión square.
Immediately the sacred notes of our national anthem were intoned and the floral offerings were placed at the foot of the monument also known as “El Solitario de Sayán”. The first floral piece was placed by the Association of Officials of the Diplomatic Service of Peru, while a second was offered by the Diplomatic Academy of Peru Javier Pérez de Cuellar.
Finally, it was up to Foreign Minister Héctor Béjar to do the same, who was accompanied by the Vice Minister of Foreign Relations, Ambassador Luis Enrique Chávez.
