De acuerdo al Equipo Especial de Reconstrucción con Cambios (EERCC) del MTC, la reposición de esta estructura, que colapsó durante el fenómeno de El Niño Costero en el 2017, permitirá beneficiar a más de 25 mil habitantes.
Hasta la tercera semana de julio, el proyecto registró un 95% de avance en obras físicas y su término contractual está previsto para octubre de este año.
El nuevo puente tendrá 32.4 metros de longitud y su ejecución, a cargo del Consorcio Puentes Áncash, comprende la habilitación de accesos, señalización y elementos de seguridad. En total, la infraestructura supone una inversión de S/ 3.2 millones, financiados con los recursos del Fondo para Intervenciones ante la Ocurrencia de Desastres Naturales (Fondes).
Actualmente, se ha concluido las labores de conformación de muros gaviones en el cauce del río y los trabajos de conformación de rellenos estructurales en los estribos. También se ha terminado el vertido de concreto en la losa de aproximación en ambos márgenes, finalizando este mes con la señalización horizontal y vertical entre otras acciones.
Este puente es uno de los seis de tipo no modulares que se reconstruirán como parte del Paquete III- Obra 1. Estos proyectos suman una inversión de más de S/ 54 millones y tienen el objetivo de restablecer cinco puentes en la provincia del Santa y uno en la provincia de Huaylas.
