“Los peruanos y peruanas tenemos que pensar en cuidar el medioambiente, en beneficio de las futuras generaciones. No solo se trata de contar con una vivienda por tenerla, sino de que tengan acceso a una vida saludable”, enfatizó el mandatario.

Durante la visita, el jefe del Estado estuvo acompañado por los ministros del Ambiente, Rubén Ramírez; y de Vivienda, Construcción y Saneamiento, Geiner Alvarado; así como por el director ejecutivo del Proyecto Especial Parque Ecológico Nacional “Antonio Raimondi”, José Alcántara, de quienes recibió las explicaciones acerca del proyecto.

Al destacar que son siete los ministerios comprometidos con Ciudad Bicentenario, remarcó que siempre se debe pensar en la salud y el bienestar de las personas.

“Por encima de todo hay que cuidar los espacios naturales”, anotó el presidente Castillo desde un sector del Parque Ecológico Nacional “Antonio Raimondi”, y pidió a los sectores relacionados con el proyecto realizar un análisis exhaustivo del suelo para determinar el tipo de plantas que se tiene que sembrar y ver de qué manera se protege el medioambiente.

Al manifestar que también se podría contar con un espacio para especies de la fauna, sostuvo que la construcción de una ciudad moderna no significa que “solo vengamos a vivir y descuidemos la parte natural”.

“Sin un verdadero ambiente natural no se puede vivir”, advirtió el mandatario al subrayar que el centro poblado de Puña, en la región Cajamarca, donde ha residido, “es una zona en la que uno amanece y anochece cuidando los árboles, las plantas, los animales”.

De acuerdo con el Ministerio del Ambiente, el proyecto citado representa el área pública más grande que le queda a Lima para desarrollar una ciudad con una adecuada planificación y gestión del territorio, bajo un modelo sostenible y ecoeficiente.

Ciudad Bicentenario comprende un conjunto de proyectos estratégicos nacionales, como el Parque Industrial de Ancón, el principal polo industrial del Perú; una zona residencial de 280 hectáreas que albergará a unos 115 mil habitantes; y la plataforma logística intermodal más importante del país, que aliviará el tráfico del puerto del Callao y se conectará con el futuro puerto de Chancay.

Asimismo, tendrá una zona de dos mil hectáreas para forestación con reúso de aguas residuales tratadas, que le sumará a Lima Metropolitana el equivalente al 60% de área verde pública que hoy posee la ciudad; y el principal Parque de las Ciencias del país, que incluye el desarrollo del Jardín Botánico Nacional.

Ciudad Bicentenario comprises a set of national strategic projects, such as the Ancón Industrial Park, the main industrial pole of Peru; a 280-hectare residential area that will house about 115 thousand inhabitants; and the most important intermodal logistics platform in the country, which will alleviate the traffic of the Callao port and connect with the future port of Chancay.
