La celebración eucarística fue oficiada por el arzobispo de Lima, monseñor Carlos Castillo, en la Basílica Catedral de la ciudad capital.

También asistieron a la misa la presidenta del Congreso de la República, María del Carmen Alva; el jefe del Gabinete Ministerial, Guido Bellido; y el ministro del Interior, Juan Carrasco, entre otras autoridades.

Tras retirarse de la Catedral, el presidente Castillo pasó revista a diversas unidades de la Policía Nacional emplazadas en la plaza de Armas y retornó a Palacio de Gobierno.
