Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe Twitter: @prensaperupe El presidente de la República, Pedro Castillo, realizó hoy una inspección inopinada al Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño (INSN) del distrito de Breña, para verificar la atención que reciben los pacientes y padres de familia en este nosocomio; su llegada fue sorpresiva, in situ verificó el tema de la la infraestructura, medicinas y abastecimiento del hospital ubicado en el distrito de Breña.

Durante su recorrido, escuchó las demandas de decenas de padres de infantes, provenientes de diferentes regiones del país. En tal sentido, se comprometió a gestionar, por medio del Ministerio de Salud, las medidas que corresponden para mejorar la atención y las facilidades de visita para los familiares.

El mandatario destacó la entrega y la labor del personal de salud de este centro especializado en la atención pediátrica.

Acompañado por el ministro de Salud, Hernando Cevallos; el jefe del Estado también dialogó con personal de salud, que solicitó mejoras salariales, e inspeccionó las áreas de Admisión, Neurología y Mantenimiento, así como el Servicio de Emergencia del INSN.

“Estamos constatando que el personal se entrega de verdad a la atención de nuestros compatriotas, pero aún falta mucho por hacer en salud”, manifestó Castillo, quien advirtió que los espacios del Servicio de Emergencia son insuficientes, porque han sido rebasados.

“Pero a pesar de ello hay cariño, hay amor no solo a la población, sino también en la atención que se brinda”, remarcó.

Por su parte, el jefe de guardia, doctor Alberto Cárdenas, agradeció al mandatario por la inspección realizada y manifestó que las necesidades que presenta el nosocomio vienen de gestiones anteriores.

El INSN fue inaugurado el 1 de noviembre de 1929. Actualmente, tiene más de 40 especialidades. Antes de la pandemia, atendía aproximadamente 1,200 niños por consulta externa cada día. Cuenta con 3,200 servidores públicos, entre profesionales y administrativos.
