Ratificó que seguirá firme en la lucha contra la pandemia, y precisó que para el presente mes la meta del Ejecutivo es llegar a más de 13 millones de personas vacunadas.
El jefe de Estado indicó que para lograr dicho objetivo, a través del Ministerio de Salud, se ha implementado una nueva estrategia del Gobierno denominada “Vamos a tu encuentro, vacúnate ya”, por medio de la cual el Estado llega directamente al encuentro con los ciudadanos casa por casa.
En esa línea, destacó que entre el viernes y el sábado pasado, el Perú recibió seis millones 204 mil 500 dosis de vacunas del laboratorio chino Sinopharm, las cuales, según dijo serán distribuidas en todas las regiones del país para trabajar el proceso de inmunización de manera rápida.
El mandatario resaltó que, a nivel nacional, ya son más de ocho millones 800 mil personas vacunadas con las dos dosis y detalló que esta cifra representa una cobertura del 31% de la población.
“Hoy estamos entregando a Cajamarca un aproximado de 300 mil dosis de vacunas, esperamos que la distribución se haga a los lugares correspondientes, toda vez, que los distritos, los centros poblados, las provincias que hemos visitado están ansiosos de continuar vacunándose para reanudar el trabajo”, anotó.
El nuevo lote de vacunas de casi 300 mil dosis entregadas por el presidente Castillo se realizó en el aeropuerto internacional “Armando Revoredo Iglesias” y contó con la presencia del gobernador regional de Cajamarca, Mesías Guevara; y los ministros de Salud, Hernando Cevallos; y de Transportes y Comunicaciones, Juan Silva.
