Gobierno de Perú y de EE.UU. sostuvieron reuniones en New York, fortaleciendo relaciones comerciales en favor de MIPYMES.

LA AGENDA DE TRABAJO CONTEMPLA LOS SIGUIENTES ENCUENTRO:

Martes 21 de septiembre.
Las acciones comerciales en las que participará la delegación nacional se iniciaron con la jornada de trabajo sobre confecciones de Algodón, que se llevó a cabo a fin de contribuir al posicionamiento internacional de la industria de la vestimenta a través de la marca Perú Textiles. La reunión es parte de la estrategia desarrollada por PROMPERÚ, para promocionar la moda sostenible en el mercado de EEUU, con los canales de compra y distribución americanos.

La jornada de Turismo, abordó la importancia del turismo como eje desarrollador económico y generador de divisas en el país, dado que el Perú es considerado a nivel mundial uno de los países que ofrece experiencias únicas para el turista.

La delegación asimismo visitó un pop up de Textiles que permitirá ver la oferta exportable del sector en un punto de venta directa al público, ubicado en el centro de la moda de Manhattan. En esta actividad participan 12 firmas de diseñadores y marcas peruanas, con un enfoque que refleja la moda sostenible de las diferentes regiones del país.

Las actividades para el Ministerio de Comercio Exterior y Turismo y PROMPERÚ tendrán su punto central al entregar el reconocimiento Amigos del Perú a empresas y personalidades que posicionaron la cultura y productos peruanos en Estados Unidos contribuyendo con el desarrollo sostenible y descentralización del país.

La jornada de trabajo sobre confecciones con fibra de Alpaca busca fortalecer las capacidades y resaltar que esta fina fibra forma parte de una industria que tiene una cadena productiva acorde a los lineamientos de sostenibilidad, accediendo al comprador profesional que demanda productos que coexistan con el medio ambiente, el bienestar social y una historia poseedora de una cultura ancestral y milenaria.

Asimismo, se realizarán reuniones con empresas norteamericanas compradoras de alimentos peruanos a fin de fortalecer la estrategia Super Foods Perú.

La agenda contempla una reunión de trabajo y almuerzo con emprendedores peruanos en Estados Unidos que participan en diversos sectores (turismo, inversiones y comercio), a fin de buscar sinergias para facilitar el acceso a la internacionalización de las MIPYMES exportadoras peruanas.

EEUU COMO IMPORTANTE SOCIO COMERCIAL PERUANO
Desde la entrada en vigencia del TLC entre Estados Unidos y Perú a inicios del 2009, las exportaciones peruanas a este país se han incrementado significativamente, pasando de $5,902 millones en 2008 a $6,300 millones en 2020, lo que significó un crecimiento del 6.7 %.

Es importante mencionar que el 95 % de las empresas exportadoras a EEUU en 2020 fueron MIPYMES, las cuales totalizaron ventas por $1,978 millones, 86 % más comparado con el valor del 2008, antes del TLC.

Las regiones del país totalizaron $4,422 millones de exportaciones a este mercado en 2020, lo que representa el 70 % de las exportaciones totales y un crecimiento de 29 % respecto al año 2008.

Entre los años 2015 y 2019, el mercado estadounidense creció en un 21%, siendo el primer país en generación de divisas y el segundo país emisor de turistas hacia el Perú, además de ser el país que más rápido está respondiendo en el 2021, ya que representa el 47% de llegadas internacionales a junio 2021.

Se estima que la cifra exportadora y de negocios en bienes y servicios seguirá creciendo por la calidad de nuestros productos, la singularidad de nuestros atractivos, la consolidación de las industrias culturales que permiten disfrutarlos, una variada oferta gastronómica y de turismo, conectividad e infraestructura hotelera, así como las campañas de promoción y difusión turística, entre ellas “Despierta en Perú”, anunciada en Estados Unidos en mayo pasado y que volverá a presentarse en octubre de este año, en las ciudades de Nueva York y Los Ángeles

Es importante mencionar que, en octubre de 2020, Perú recibió el sello Safe Travels de manos del Consejo Mundial de Viajes y Turismo (WTTC), reconocimiento que nos identifica como un destino seguro a nivel internacional.
