Llegó el Sistema Integrado de Transporte a Huamanga convirtiéndola en la quinta ciudad del Perú en implementarlo.

Con ello, Huamanga se convertirá en la quinta ciudad del Perú comprometida con los ciudadanos para que estos puedan contar con un Sistema Integrado de Transporte que les permita desplazarse a sus destinos con seguridad, rapidez y eficiencia, elevando así la calidad de viajes y de vida de las personas.

“Saludamos el compromiso que tienen las autoridades ediles de Huamanga por concretar estas acciones para convertirse en una ciudad sostenible. Desde Promovilidad les seguimos brindando la debida asistencia técnica y los acompañaremos en este proceso que busca que los ciudadanos se desplacen en óptimas condiciones”, afirmó Junior Soto, director de Inversiones de Promovilidad.

Asimismo, en el marco de las acciones de fortalecimiento que viene implementando Promovilidad en las ciudades del interior del país, los funcionarios ediles de Huamanga recibirán asistencia técnica en gestión del tránsito, gestión de corredores y urbanismo táctico. A ello, se suma el trabajo que viene realizando el gobierno local para contar, por vez primera, con un Plan de Movilidad Urbana Sostenible para la ciudad, que está próximo a ser aprobado.

La intervención de Promovilidad en Huamanga responde al cumplimiento de metas por parte del ente edil en torno a la implementación progresiva de los planes y acciones de transporte urbano sostenible.

Cabe anotar que, Huamanga es una de las primeras provincias del país que ha entregado el 100% de los 148 000 protectores faciales que le fueron distribuidos por el MTC para repartir, de manera gratuita, a los usuarios del transporte público urbano, a fin de reducir los riesgos de contagio de la COVID-19 en el transporte público.

Además, se ha implementado el sistema de transporte sostenible no motorizado (ciclovía), el cual complementa la red ciclovial con la que ya contaba la ciudad, la misma que conecta de manera estratégica la ciudad, brindando seguridad a los ciudadanos que, en la actual coyuntura, han empezado a utilizar la bicicleta como medio de transporte sostenible.

Added to this is the work being done by the local government to have, for the first time, a Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan for the city, which is about to be approved.

The intervention of Promovilidad in Huamanga responds to the fulfillment of goals by the city council regarding the progressive implementation of the plans and actions of sustainable urban transport.

It should be noted that Huamanga is one of the first provinces in the country that has delivered 100% of the 148,000 face shields that were distributed by the MTC to distribute, free of charge, to users of urban public transport, in order to reduce the risks of contagion of COVID-19 in public transport.
