El día Viernes 17 de Setiembre en la tarde se efectuó la entrega formal de los alimentos en el local del Auditorio Municipal de Ollantaytambo, lugar arqueológico incaico ubicado a 90 kilómetros al noreste de la ciudad de Cusco.
Los alimentos que fueron formalmente entregados por Hugo Fabrizio Cartagena Pinelo, líder de la Iglesia de Jesucristo en la zona y Edwin Orihuela, Gerente de Bienestar y Autosuficiencia acompañados de Elder Cardozo misionero de servicio de la Iglesia de Jesucristo, consistieron en 975 bolsas de alimentos que contenían leche evaporada, harina preparada, avena, conservas de pescado en aceite vegetal, lentejas, azúcar, aceite vegetal, fideos, y arroz. Cada bolsa con un peso de más de 20 kilos.
Recibió la donación José Ríos Coronel, Alcalde distrital de Ollantaytambo acompañado del regidor Félix Huamanhuillca Riquelme y del funcionario municipal Armando Mujica Aguilar, quienes reconocieron y agradecieron la donación con la entrega de una resolución de alcaldía y un presente distintivo de la cultura viva del distrito.
La donación es parte de la iniciativa de ayuda humanitaria que realiza la Iglesia de Jesucristo en su misión de servicio a las personas vulnerables, especialmente las afectadas por la actual pandemia del coronavirus.
