También la integrarán el viceministro de Hidrocarburos del Ministerio de Energía y Minas y el presidente de Perupetro.
De acuerdo con la Resolución Suprema N.° 108-2021-PCM, publicada hoy en el diario oficial El Peruano, esta comisión es de naturaleza temporal y se encargará de “evaluar los alcances y acciones para ampliar las reservas de gas natural y fortalecer la industria de los hidrocarburos que permita su masificación a nivel nacional y viabilice el desarrollo de las actividades y proyectos de gas natural en el país, en beneficio de todos los consumidores”, se lee en la norma.
La citada resolución establece que este grupo de trabajo tiene como funciones elaborar un informe final que contemplará las siguientes tres propuestas: ampliación de las reservas de gas natural para el avance de su masificación a nivel nacional; el desarrollo de la infraestructura de gas natural para el avance de su masificación en las regiones de Cusco, Puno, Apurímac, Arequipa, Moquegua y Tacna; y los mecanismos que permitan promover y garantizar la masificación del gas natural a nivel nacional.
También precisa que la secretaría técnica de la comisión multisectorial recae en Perupetro, empresa que será la responsable de brindar el apoyo técnico y administrativo durante su vigencia.
La comisión multisectorial se instalará dentro de los tres días hábiles contados a partir del día siguiente de la publicación de la presente Resolución y su labor tendrá una vigencia de 60 días hábiles, plazo en el cual presentará al Ministerio de Energía y Minas un informe final sobre las funciones encomendadas.
Asimismo, se establece que el financiamiento de esta comisión multisectorial no demandará recursos adicionales al tesoro público y los gastos que genere serán financiados con cargo al presupuesto institucional de cada entidad participante.

It also specifies that the technical secretariat of the multisectoral commission falls to Perupetro, a company that will be responsible for providing technical and administrative support during its term.
The multisectoral commission will be installed within three business days counted from the day following the publication of this Resolution and its work will have a validity of 60 business days, within which period it will present to the Ministry of Energy and Mines a final report on the functions entrusted.
Likewise, it is established that the financing of this multisectoral commission will not require additional resources from the public treasury and the expenses it generates will be financed from the institutional budget of each participating entity.
