El día Jueves 14 de Octubre en horas de la mañana se efectuó la ceremonia de entrega formal de los alimentos en el comedor universitario con la asistencia de un grupo de estudiantes de la universidad con quienes se efectuó el inicio de la entrega de las bolsas de alimentos.

La donación fue formalmente entregada por Juan Ulises García Málaga, líder local de la Iglesia de Jesucristo en Puerto Maldonado, al doctor Hugo Dueñas Linares, Rector de la UNAMAD acompañado del licenciado Otilio Peña Huarinda, Director de Bienestar Universitario y de la vicerrectora Luz Marina Huamán.

La reunión también contó con la asistencia de Aldin García Beltrán y Dalay Begazo Cruz, del Consejo de Comunicación de la Iglesia de Jesucristo en Puerto Maldonado y de voluntarios del programa Manos que Ayudan de la Iglesia de Jesucristo.

Según información proporcionada por la Dirección de Bienestar Universitario, que gestionó la donación de alimentos con la Iglesia de Jesucristo, la entrega de los comestibles se realizará del 14 al 15 de octubre en las instalaciones del comedor universitario y el sábado 16 de octubre la entrega se realizará en la Plaza de Armas de esta ciudad, por conmemorarse el Día Mundial de la Alimentación.

La entrega consistió de 292 bolsas de alimentos que contenían: leche evaporada, harina, avena, conservas de pescado en aceite vegetal, menestras, azúcar, aceite vegetal, fideos y arroz con un peso de más de 20 kilos por bolsa.

La donación entregada es parte de la iniciativa de ayuda humanitaria que realiza la Iglesia de Jesucristo en su misión de servicio a las personas vulnerables, especialmente las afectadas por la actual pandemia del coronavirus.
