Según la normativa publicada hoy en el diario oficial El Peruano, se canalizarán cinco millones de soles al Fondo Nacional de Desarrollo Pesquero (Fondepes) para financiar el otorgamiento de créditos y 223 mil 469 soles para los gastos operativos que generen los mismos.
Hay que recordar que los créditos otorgados por Fondepes están orientados a los trabajadores de la pesca artesanal que no cuentan con oportunidades de financiamiento, a través de la dotación de bienes y servicios que permitan reflotar, equipar y modernizar sus actividades productivas.
Con ello, los pescadores del país pueden incrementar sus ingresos y mejorar las condiciones de vida tanto de ellos como de sus familias. Cabe explicar que, los bienes financiados en crédito por Fondepes se han visto afectados por el incremento del dólar, toda vez que los insumos requeridos por dicho sector tales como: motores marinos, aparejos de pesca, equipos de comunicación, equipos de navegación, entre otros, son importados y esto impacta en el monto de cada crédito solicitado.
El decreto de urgencia establece que se realicen modificaciones presupuestarias dentro del Fondepes por dos millones 223 mil 469 soles. Paralelo a ello, se autoriza al Ministerio de la Producción una transferencia a Fondepes por tres millones de soles. “El Fondepes es responsable de la adecuada implementación del presente Decreto de Urgencia, así como del uso y destino de los recursos asignados, conforme a la normatividad vigente”, finaliza el documento.

The emergency decree establishes that budgetary modifications be made within the Fondepes for two million 223 thousand 469 soles. Parallel to this, the Ministry of Production is authorized to transfer to Fondepes for three million soles. “Fondepes is responsible for the proper implementation of this Emergency Decree, as well as for the use and destination of the allocated resources, in accordance with current regulations,” the document ends.
