“Postulamos a un concurso y hemos sido favorecidos con fondos económicos, los que serán invertidos en fortalecer la justicia de paz a nivel nacional, sobre todo en los lugares más alejados del país, especialmente en la sierra y la selva”, afirmó.
Estas declaraciones las ofreció durante el tercer día de la visita de trabajo que cumple en San Martín, adonde llegó el miércoles pasado, a fin de verificar in situ la labor de los órganos jurisdiccionales.
La actividad tuvo lugar en la sede judicial de Tarapoto y contó con la participación del presidente de la Corte de San Martín, Heriberto Gálvez Herrera, y 21 jueces y juezas de diversos distritos que comprende la jurisdicción de San Martín.
“Jueces de paz, estén orgullosos de la labor que realizan; ustedes, en el sistema de justicia son los más reconocidos”, indicó la Elvia Barrios al destacar el rol de la justicia de paz en el país.
Luego, la autoridad judicial hizo entrega de materiales de escritorio y maletines a los jueces de paz de los diferentes caseríos de la región.
Por su parte, Gálvez Herrera resaltó el esfuerzo de la actual gestión del Poder Judicial para afianzar la justicia de paz, en beneficio de la población.
CÁMARA GESELL
Más temprano, en entrevista con una radio local, Barrios Alvarado, anunció que el próximo año se implementará una cámara Gesell móvil en la región San Martín, para acercar la justicia a las mujeres víctimas de violencia.
“Lo que estamos implementando son vehículos móviles que tengan el servicio de cámara Gesell; de ese modo, tú no tienes que trasladarte, nosotros nos trasladamos a donde tú estás”, refirió.
Barrios Alvarado continúa su agenda de trabajo con la visita a los despachos judiciales de las ciudades de Lamas y Yurimaguas, entre otras actividades.
