El Jefe de Estado destacó que Estados Unidos es uno de los principales socios del Perú y reafirmó la fraterna relación bilateral con esa nación, además de garantizar la seguridad jurídica para inversiones sostenibles.
“Juntos lograremos crecimiento equitativo, inclusivo y sostenible para todos los peruanos”, sostuvo el presidente Castillo a la alta funcionaria del gobierno de Estado Unidos, a través de un diálogo vía zoom.
El Mandatario abordó el tema de la compleja realidad del país, cuya inmensa riqueza, contrasta con las diferencias generadas por un crecimiento económico desigual, hecho que ha generado conflictos sociales.
En ese marco, dijo que su Gobierno promueve el diálogo y pidió el apoyo de Estados Unidos, para que los diversos actores -pueblos, Mipymes y empresas multinacionalesparticipen de las conversaciones sobre el aporte de cada uno al desarrollo del país.
Del mismo modo, comentó sobre el impacto de la pandemia en los grupos más vulnerables, y sobre su viaje a la ciudad de Huamanga para dar a conocer al país los logros alcanzados durante los primeros 100 días de su Gobierno. “Buscamos hacer esta rendición cada dos meses a pesar que no existe una exigencia legal.

Reafirmó, además, el compromiso de EE.UU. en la lucha contra la COVID-19, con la donación de vacunas y otros insumos, y de trabajar con el presidente Pedro Castillo en el desarrollo del país. Finalmente, agradeció que el Mandatario del Perú haya aceptado participar en la Cumbre por la Democracia (Summit for Democracy), que será virtual. “Una reunión en que las democracias sólidas, como la peruana, debatirán sobre lo que se necesita para lograr una democracia equitativa sin corrupción”, subrayó.
