Como se sabe el Pleno del Congreso aprobó por 76 votos a favor y 37 en contra, la terna propuesta de los economistas Diego Macera Poli, Inés Choy Chong y Carlos Oliva Neyra como integrantes de ese organismo constitucional autónomo.

La decisión del Parlamento se da en cumplimiento y en uso de las facultades que le confiere el artículo 86 de la Constitución, los artículos 6 y 64 del Reglamento del Congreso y la Ley Orgánica del BCR.

“Publíquese, comuníquese y cúmplase”, dice la autógrafa de la Resolución Legislativa suscrita por la presidenta Maricarmen Alva Prieto, y la primera vicepresidenta del Parlamento, Lady Camones.

PERFILES
DIEGO MACERA: Diego Macera Poli, economista por la Universidad del Pacífico, Magíster en Políticas Públicas por la Universidad de Chicago (EE. UU.) y gerente del Instituto Peruano de Economía (IPE) desde el 2016.

Ha sido profesor de Economía General en la Universidad del Pacífico y profesor de Economía Pública en el Doble Grado con London School of Economics (Inglaterra), y profesor de Economía de la Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología (UTEC).

Entre sus publicaciones premiadas y reconocidas destacan: “El beneficio de ser radical”, de octubre 2013, artículo ganador del Premio a la Excelencia Periodística de la Sociedad Interamericana de Prensa (SIP) y mejor artículo de opinión del 2013 en la región.

Además, “El precio de las lentejas”, de octubre 2015, que es un artículo ganador del Premio XI Premio Anual de Periodismo Ramón Remolina Serrano de la Cámara de Comercio de Lima en la categoría de Prensa Escrita.

MARILYN CHOY: Inés Marylin Choy Chong, economista por la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos; Magíster en Economía por Rice University (EE. UU.), y ex gerente central de Operaciones del BCR, entre otros cargos en esa entidad.

También, ha sido integrante de los directorios de la Comisión Nacional Supervisora de Empresas y Valores (Conasev) y de la Corporación Financiera de Desarrollo (Cofide).

Entre sus publicaciones más recientes resaltan «El desarrollo de las fintech y sus desafíos regulatorios”, de marzo del 2019, y «Las fintech y los bancos centrales”, de junio del 2018, ambas en la revista del Banco Central de Reserva del Perú.

CARLOS OLIVA: Carlos Oliva Neyra, quien es economista por la Universidad del Pacífico, Magíster en Economía por la Universidad de Georgetown (EE. UU.). Además, fue ministro de Economía y Finanzas (2018-2019) y exviceministro de Hacienda.

Desde diciembre del 2020 es presidente del Consejo Fiscal, comisión autónoma cuyo objeto es contribuir con el análisis técnico independiente de la política macrofiscal, para fortalecer la transparencia e institucionalidad de las finanzas públicas en el Perú, además integra el directorio de Cofide. Asimismo, fue director del BCR y vicepresidente del directorio del Banco de la Nación.

Entre sus publicaciones personales figura “Gestión pública eficiente para mejores servicios”, en Propuestas del Bicentenario, rutas para un país en desarrollo, de Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial, de mayo de 2021, y “Reactivación y crecimiento económico”, en Diálogos por el Buen Gobierno Nacional, de Instituto Democracia y Bien Común IDEBIC y Fundación Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, de marzo de 2021.

As is known, the Plenary of Congress approved by 76 votes in favor and 37 against, the shortlist of economists Diego Macera Poli, Inés Choy Chong and Carlos Oliva Neyra as members of that autonomous constitutional body.

DIEGO MACERA: Diego Macera Poli, economist from the Universidad del Pacífico, Master in Public Policy from the University of Chicago (USA) and manager of the Peruvian Institute of Economics (IPE) since 2016.

He has been Professor of General Economics at the Universidad del Pacífico and Professor of Public Economics in the Double Degree with the London School of Economics (England), and Professor of Economics at the University of Engineering and Technology (UTEC).

Since December 2020, he has been president of the Fiscal Council, an autonomous commission whose purpose is to contribute to the independent technical analysis of macro-fiscal policy, to strengthen the transparency and institutional framework of public finances in Peru, and he is also a member of Cofide’s board of directors. Likewise, he was director of the BCR and vice president of the board of directors of Banco de la Nación.
