El jefe de Estado, quien pernoctó en la provincia de Utcubamba, sostuvo muy temprano una reunión de coordinación en el cuartel Vencedores del Cenepa, en el distrito El Milagro, con los altos mandos militares y policiales, autoridades regionales, así como con los ministros de Defensa; de Transportes y Comunicaciones; y de Vivienda, Construcción y Saneamiento.
Luego, el mandatario sobrevoló las zonas aledañas al caserío El Aserradero, donde el sismo ocurrido el domingo último, provocó un deslizamiento del cerro que está provocando un embalse del río Utcubamba y amenaza con desbordarse, poniendo en riesgo a los habitantes de la zona.
“Llamo a la población a ponerse a buen recaudo, vamos a evacuarlos, deben ir a un lugar seguro, no pueden permanecer en una zona donde se desembalsará el río. El agua se ha represado en la parte alta, queremos que entienda que, por encima de la casa, de la chacra, está la vida”, sostuvo.
RESCATE AÉREO
El presidente Castillo constató que el kilómetro 290 de la carretera Fernando Belaunde Terry quedó intransitable y que en la zona hay personas que se quedaron cuidando sus viviendas, además de pasajeros que tratan de cruzar a pie la vía. En su recorrido, asistió a una mujer procedente de Nueva Cajamarca, que caminaba con dificultad por la vía colapsada, y dispuso su evacuación en un helicóptero.
A las personas congregadas en este lugar, les pidió asumir con responsabilidad el peligro que se vive por el represamiento del río. Dijo que la zona debe ser traslada en forma definitiva y que el Gobierno apoyará con la construcción de viviendas, en un terreno seguro que comprará el Gobierno Regional de Amazonas.
Dispuso también que la Policía Nacional evite que más personas sigan desplazándose a pie por la vía colapsada y que se establezca un puente aéreo para el traslado de aquellos que quedaron aislados. En un primer viaje, el helicóptero que trasladó a la comitiva presidencial, rescató a varias personas, entre ellas, madres de familia con sus niños.
El Mandatario también llegó hasta la zona de Pueblo Nuevo, donde pernoctan en carpas cerca de 200 personas cuyas viviendas se encuentran en la zona que ha sido declarada inhabitable.
El jefe de Estado llegó ayer a la región Amazonas para supervisar el despliegue de las acciones del Estado en favor de los damnificados.
