Alcalde de Lima y niños de 43 distritos encendieron el Árbol de Todos bajo el lema: ¡La Navidad llegó!

“El día de hoy hemos querido representar la unión de todos los distritos de la capital, todos juntos caminando hacia un futuro más próspero; es por ello que me acompañan 43 niños y niñas, pues ellos son la luz que debe guiar nuestra labor”, comentó el burgomaestre en la noche del último viernes 3 de noviembre.

Durante la actividad los pequeños dieron sus buenos deseos para la ciudad y los vecinos, con los tradicionales villancicos de fondo, a cargo del Coro Nacional de Niños. También se iluminaron la Plaza Mayor, el Palacio Municipal y los alrededores del Jirón de la Unión y el pasaje Santa Rosa.

“Mi deseo para este año es que esta Navidad sea una fiesta que nos una a todos, que nos dé esperanza, que nos dé amor, que nos permita soñar con una ciudad y un país mejor. Mi compromiso es seguir trabajando con transparencia por todos los vecinos de Lima”, agregó Muñoz.

Este año el árbol de Navidad, de 20 m de alto y 8 m de diámetro, fue decorado con 33 lazos rojos, 32 copos de nieve con manguera blanca de luces LED, luces navideñas en tiras (cada una de 20 m de largo), así como aros con manguera LED roja y una estrella dorada en la cima.

En el evento también participó la niña Beatriz Vásquez, de la comunidad shipibo-konibo, quien cantó un mix de los villancicos “Feliz Navidad” y “Estrella de Belén” en su lengua nativa.

Para cerrar la actividad, el alcalde Muñoz entregó un niño Jesús, para colocarlo en el nacimiento, a los 43 infantes del albergue Los Petisos, el programa Niño Sonrisa (Demuna), y el Consejo Ambiental y de Cultura. Las artesanías fueron donadas por las comerciantes de la feria Nacimientos Navideños 2021 y bendecidas por el padre Richard Manrique Díaz, de la iglesia Santo Domingo.

Es importante señalar que las farolas y jardines de la Plaza Mayor también están adornados con luces, ángeles y copos de nieve. De igual forma el Palacio Municipal luce en su frontis una corona de Adviento, además de guirnaldas de pino artificial y luces navideñas rojas y blancas, en alusión al bicentenario nacional.

La Municipalidad de Lima invita a todos los vecinos a visitar el Centro Histórico y disfrutar hasta el 6 de enero del tradicional encendido de luces, que se llevará a cabo de 7 a 11 p.m. Además, podrán dejar su firma y buenos deseos en el Panel de Todos, ubicado en el centro de la Plaza Mayor.

During the activity the children gave their good wishes for the city and the neighbors, with the traditional Christmas carols in the background, by the National Children’s Choir. The Plaza Mayor, the Municipal Palace and the surroundings of the Jirón de la Unión and the Santa Rosa passage were also illuminated.

“My wish for this year is that this Christmas is a celebration that unites us all, that gives us hope, that gives us love, that allows us to dream of a better city and country. My commitment is to continue working with transparency for all the residents of Lima ”, added Muñoz.

This year the Christmas tree, 20 m high and 8 m in diameter, was decorated with 33 red ribbons, 32 snowflakes with a white hose of LED lights, Christmas lights in strips (each 20 m long), as well as hoops with red LED hose and a gold star on top.

Also participating in the event was the girl Beatriz Vásquez, from the Shipibo-Konibo community, who sang a mix of the Christmas carols “Feliz Navidad” and “Estrella de Belén” in her native language.

To close the activity, Mayor Muñoz delivered a baby Jesus, to be placed at birth, to the 43 infants of the Los Petisos shelter, the Niño Sonrisa (Demuna) program, and the Environmental and Cultural Council. The handicrafts were donated by the merchants of the 2021 Nacimiento Navideños fair and blessed by Father Richard Manrique Díaz, of the Santo Domingo church.

It is important to note that the street lamps and gardens of the Plaza Mayor are also adorned with lights, angels and snowflakes. Similarly, the Municipal Palace has an Advent wreath on its front, as well as artificial pine garlands and red and white Christmas lights, alluding to the national bicentennial.

The Municipality of Lima invites all residents to visit the Historic Center and enjoy the traditional lighting up until January 6, which will take place from 7 to 11 p.m. In addition, they can leave their signature and good wishes on the Everyone Panel, located in the center of the Plaza Mayor.
