Durante la clausura del XV Congreso Nacional de Turismo, refirió que las mypes son la principal fuente de generación de empleo, razón por la cual su Gobierno amplió hasta marzo del 2022 el otorgamiento de préstamos, a través de FAE Turismo, flexibilizando las condiciones de acceso y ampliando el periodo de gracia a 24 meses.
“Nuestra meta, al 2026, es colocar créditos garantizados por un total de 500 millones de soles en favor de 7,500 mypes del sector turismo para que se reactiven, mejoren su productividad y continúen incentivando el espíritu empresarial en el país”, refirió.
El mandatario sostuvo que el turismo ha sido uno de los sectores más golpeados por la pandemia de la COVID-19, afectando a miles de familias que tienen su fuente de ingresos en la actividad turística.
“En este espacio debemos estar juntos, el Estado, el sector privado, las agencias de viajes, de hotelería, restaurantes, líneas aéreas, guías de turismo, artesanos y académicos. Este congreso nos ha permitido compartir visiones integradoras y crear oportunidades para impulsar un turismo más inclusivo, más descentralizado y más sostenible”, apuntó.
En cuando al Gobierno, precisó que para el año 2022 se asignó 551 millones de soles al presupuesto del Ministerio de Comercio Exterior y Turismo (MINCETUR), lo que representa un incremento de 12% respecto al presupuesto del 2021.
Asimismo, dijo que el próximo año se ejecutarán inversiones en infraestructura turística por más de S/82 millones, de los cuales 19 millones de soles corresponden a proyectos de turismo a cargo del MINCETUR y 46 millones de soles para mejorar la plataforma electrónica de la Ventanilla Única de Comercio Exterior.
Anunció además que, a través de la estrategia “Somos Artesanía”, se otorgará 10 millones de soles a cerca de 2,000 artesanos de todo el país, quienes cumplen una labor fundamental en la difusión de la cultura, la historia, las costumbres, la economía y la idiosincrasia de nuestros pueblos.
“Nuestra riqueza social, gastronómica y recursos naturales nos permiten sentirnos orgullosos y optimista de que juntos le daremos al turismo el sitial que siempre debió tener en el desarrollo del país. Esta circunstancia es una oportunidad de oro para promover nuevos circuitos turísticos en los pueblos alejados, donde hay mucho por descubrir”, manifestó.
Destacó que el empuje del sector turismo es una fuente de inspiración para el país, para realizar un trabajo en unión, hablar un solo lenguaje e impulsar un verdadero desarrollo que permita ir acortando las brechas sociales.
“Sigamos firmes y trabajando con ahínco hasta convertir a la patria en el principal destino turístico de América Latina y del mundo. Esa es nuestra visión, nuestra labor, nuestro compromiso”, concluyó.
A la clausura del XV Congreso Nacional de Turismo asistió también el ministro de Comercio Exterior y Turismo, Roberto Sánchez; así como el presidente de la Cámara Nacional de Turismo (Canatur), Carlos Canales.
