Día de los Derechos Humanos”, jornada académica organizada por la Red Latinoamericana de Jueces (REDLAJ) y la Subgerencia de Capacitación de la Gerencia de Recursos Humanos y Bienestar del Poder Judicial.
Esta actividad está enmarcada en el Día Internacional de los Derechos Humanos, que se conmemora este 10 de diciembre.
En su intervención, Barrios Alvarado enfatizó que desde su gestión como presidenta de REDLAJ y como máxima autoridad del Poder Judicial, priorizó el tema de la eliminación de la violencia contra la mujer con medidas que buscan frenar este tipo de sucesos y una adecuada sensibilización y capacitación.
“Espero que lo que se internalice y se aprenda en este tipo de conferencias nos ayude a mejorar nuestras intervenciones jurisdiccionales, y a su vez impacten en nuestra vida para lograr que el derecho a una vida libre de violencia sea una realidad para las mujeres en el Perú y el mundo”, puntualizó.
El evento es coordinado por la jueza suprema provisional y vicepresidenta del Derechos Humanos de REDLAJ, Susana Castañeda Otsu.
En el primer día de conferencias, fue tratado el tema ‘Retos en el manejo de casos de violencia de género desde la perspectiva de la víctima’, a cargo de Vivian Durieux Rodríguez, doctora en Derecho por Universidad de Puerto Rico y gerente del Programa del Instituto de Estudios Judiciales de EE. UU.
CONFERENCIAS
El jueves 9, la conferencia ‘Perspectiva de Género y Lenguaje’ estará a cargo de Aleida Varona Méndez, doctora en Derecho por la Universidad de Puerto Rico y profesora del Instituto de Estudios Judiciales de EE. UU.
El viernes 10, la tercera conferencia ‘Subsidiariedad y margen de apreciación nacional. Contrapesos a la armonización de los derechos’, será expuesta por Javier García Roca, doctor en Derecho por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
