Así lo informó el presidente ejecutivo de EsSalud, Mario Carhuapoma Yance, durante su presentación virtual ante la Comisión Especial de Seguimiento a Emergencias y Gestión de Riesgos de Desastres COVID-19 del Congreso, donde expuso las medidas implementadas para enfrentar una eventual tercera ola de contagios.
El titular de EsSalud dijo que a la fecha se reportan 2097 pacientes hospitalizados, de los cuales 389 se encuentran en UCI y reciben atención especializada con equipos de ventilación mecánica por su estado crítico.
Informó que las camas hospitalarias están ocupadas al 24.4% y las destinadas a unidad de cuidados intensivos en un 52.6%.
Asimismo, señaló que para brindar terapia respiratoria se cuenta con 63 plantas de oxígeno medicinal, 83 tanques criogénicos e isotantes, 1685 concentradores y 18,973 balones.
Respecto al proceso de vacunación contra la COVID-19, la máxima autoridad del Seguro Social apuntó que el 61.4% de la población asegurada está protegida con dos o más dosis del antígeno gracias a que se cuenta con 783 puntos de vacunación y 40 unidades móviles para inmunizar a pacientes postrados en sus domicilios.
Ante un posible incremento en la demanda de atención de pacientes con coronavirus, Carhuapoma adelantó que se está implementando hospitales de contingencia con 800 camas de hospitalización.
De otro lado, el titular de EsSalud recordó que muy pronto se inaugurarán cuatro hospitales bicentenario en Cajamarca (Chota), Sabogal (Canta Callao), La Libertad (Chao) y Junín (Jauja) con un total de 266 camas hospitalarias, equipamiento moderno y salas quirúrgicas, entre otros servicios.
LUCHA CONTRA LA CORRUPCIÓN
En otro momento de su intervención, Carhuapoma subrayó que las inversiones y contrataciones durante la pandemia se están realizando de manera transparente y bajo la política de “cero corrupción”.
En ese sentido, informó que se ha iniciado acciones legales en base a 7 informes de control sobre presuntas irregularidades en contrataciones ocurridas durante la anterior gestión en el 2020 y que en el presente año se han implementado 14 acciones de control.
“En la presente gestión se viene fortaleciendo la lucha frontal contra la corrupción en pos de la integridad y transparencia en nuestra institución”, dijo.
ATENCIONES NO COVID-19
En otro momento, el titular de EsSalud informó que para la atención de pacientes NO COVID se cuenta con 9,945 camas hospitalarias, de las cuales 456 están destinadas para atender casos críticos en las unidades de cuidados intensivos.
Asimismo, resaltó que para reducir la brecha de atenciones se ha realizado un desembalse clínico- quirúrgico y a noviembre de este año se han realizado más de 14 millones de consultas (incluyendo las teleconsultas) y más de 171 mil cirugías.
También informó que a través del Hospital Perú, nosocomio itinerante, se está implementando un desembalse clínico-quirúrgico a nivel nacional, así como el desembalse de cirugías cardíacas a través de la Misión INCOR, con el traslado de especialistas de Lima a diversas regiones del país.
