“En medio de la pandemia que afectó a todo el mundo (2020) esta actividad permitió generar 1 millón 370 mil 617 empleos entre directos, indirectos e inducidos en regiones como Ica, Piura, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Lima y Arequipa, solo por mencionar algunos”, comentó.

Recordó que gracias al marco jurídico anterior (Ley N° 27360) en el 2020 Perú se posicionó como el primer exportador mundial de arándanos, quinua y espárragos frescos y el segundo de uvas y espárragos en conserva. “El reto es avanzar, diversificar la oferta nacional, promover los despachos agroindustriales de la Sierra y la Selva”, enfatizó.

ENERO-NOVIEMBRE
Cifras del Sistema de Inteligencia Comercial ADEX Data Trade refirieron que entre enero y noviembre del 2021, este sector sumó poco más de US$ 7 mil 042 millones, logrando un crecimiento de 19% respecto al mismo periodo del 2020.

Los dos principales productos de la canasta agroindustrial no tradicional, a noviembre, fueron los arándanos y las paltas, que de forma conjunta concentraron el 31% del total (US$ 7 mil 042 millones). Los arándanos sumaron US$ 1,142 millones 864 mil, 25% más que en el mismo periodo del 2020 y las paltas US$ 1,047 millones 293 mil (variación de 40%).

Siguieron las uvas frescas con U$ 862 millones 121 mil, espárragos frescos con US$ 360 millones 462 mil, mangos frescos con US$ 254 millones 384 mil, demás preparaciones utilizadas para la alimentación de animales con US$ 172 millones 480 mil, y wilkings (cítricos) con US$ 162 millones 336 mil, entre otros.

En el top 20 las partidas de mayor crecimiento fueron las paltas (40%), demás preparaciones utilizadas para la alimentación de animales (36%), las demás frutas y otros frutos frescos (28%), uvas frescas (25%) y demás hortalizas en conserva (22%).

DESTINOS
Esta oferta llegó a 134 mercados. El líder fue EE.UU. (US$ 2 mil 371 millones), con una participación del 34% y un alza del 15%. Este país demandó especialmente arándanos, uvas y espárragos, los cuales gozan de gran popularidad en el exterior por su calidad y agradable sabor.

En el segundo lugar se ubicó Países Bajos con U$ 1,208 millones, una representación del 17% y un incremento del 20%. Los alimentos más solicitados por este importante ‘hub’ en Europa fueron las paltas, arándanos y uvas.

Completaron el top ten España (US$ 453 millones 229 mil), Reino Unido (US$ 329 millones 639 mil), Chile (US$ 326 millones 200 mil), Ecuador, Hong Kong, China, Corea del Sur y Canadá. Este grupo cerró en azul.

EL DATO
Con el objetivo de contribuir con la cadena agraria, ADEX realizará de manera presencial la feria Expoalimentaria 2022, del 21 al 23 de septiembre en el Centro de Exposiciones Jockey. Se exhibirá la oferta de alimentos, bebidas, maquinaria, servicios, entre otros.
