Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe Twitter: @prensaperupe El ministro de Transportes y Comunicaciones, Juan Silva Villegas, afirmó que su gestión trabaja para consolidar la reforma del transporte y también plantea nuevos y ambiciosos proyectos como incorporar sistemas de monorrieles al Sistema Integrado de Transportes que tiene el objetivo de mejorar la calidad del servicio en beneficio de millones de peruanos.

Así lo señaló en una conferencia de prensa realizada en la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros. En ella, Silva resaltó que su gestión avanza en coordinación estrecha con los gobiernos regionales y locales. Hizo un llamado a las fuerzas políticas, autoridades y otros sectores para avanzar juntos en los proyectos que benefician al pueblo.

Luego de hacer un balance de lo realizado en el 2021, el titular del MTC dijo que el Sistema Integrado de Transporte que su gestión impulsa es la integración a nivel nacional de los medios existentes con el objetivo de mejorar la calidad del servicio de transporte de personas y carga mediante la reducción del tiempo de viaje.

“Queremos mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas, reducir costos y reactivar la economía mediante la creación de más empleos. Entre los nuevos proyectos, que son materia de evaluación, tenemos las Líneas 3 y 4 del Metro de Lima; los Trenes de Cercanía; el Tren Grau (Tumbes-Tacna); el Tren Inca (Cajamarca-Puno); y el Sistema de Monorrieles Suspendido”, detalló Silva.

Explicó que el Sistema de Monorrieles Suspendido se aplicaría en Lima, Callao, Chiclayo, Cusco, Trujillo, Piura, Puno y Cajamarca porque son ciudades en las que el tránsito de vehículos es particularmente complejo y se requiere un cambio urgente.

Por otro lado, dijo que el MTC trabaja para afianzar la reforma del transporte y explicó que el empadronamiento de los autos colectivos que se ha iniciado tiene el objetivo de realizar un diagnóstico y no significa que se dé carta blanca a los transportistas porque estos tienen que cumplir los requisitos que fije el reglamento para poder operar.

“Nosotros vamos a implementar un programa de chatarreo para que las unidades viejas sean reemplazadas por buses nuevos porque los transportistas tienen derecho a trabajar dignamente y los usuarios a recibir un buen servicio”, puntualizó.

Finalmente, Silva aclaró que el MTC no ha prorrogado permisos a los transportistas por diez años e hizo una exhortación a las fuerzas políticas, a la población y a los medios de comunicación para trabajar juntos por la mejora del transporte en el país.

He explained that the Suspended Monorail System would be applied in Lima, Callao, Chiclayo, Cusco, Trujillo, Piura, Puno and Cajamarca because they are cities in which vehicle traffic is particularly complex and an urgent change is required.

On the other hand, he said that the MTC works to strengthen the transport reform and explained that the registration of collective cars that has been initiated has the objective of making a diagnosis and does not mean that carriers are given carte blanche because they have to meet the requirements set by the regulations in order to operate.

“We are going to implement a scrapping program so that old units are replaced by new buses because carriers have the right to work with dignity and users to receive good service,” he said.

Finally, Silva clarified that the MTC has not extended permits to carriers for ten years and made an appeal to political forces, the population and the media to work together to improve transportation in the country.
