A su llegada al recinto cultural, el jefe del Estado fue recibido por el alcalde de Lima, Jorge Muñoz, con quien visitó el Salón de los Espejos, donde pudo apreciar el Acta de Fundación de Lima.

El mandatario y el burgomaestre se ubicaron en el palco de honor del Teatro Municipal. La sesión solemne comenzó hacia las 11:13 horas con la entonación del Himno Nacional, en español y en quechua, a cargo de Hatun Killa, nombre artístico de la soprano Lilian Cornelio. Luego la regidora metropolitana Nathalie Ubillús leyó el Acta de Fundación de Lima.

A continuación, se leyeron los saludos de diversas autoridades e instituciones, como congresistas de la República, ministros de Estado y alcaldes distritales, por el aniversario de la fundación de Lima, y se proyectó el video sobre el Proyecto Especial Paisajístico río Rímac, por medio del cual se busca recuperar integralmente este importante espacio para la ciudad.

El proyecto cuenta con el apoyo del Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina (CAF), con el que la Municipalidad de Lima suscribió un convenio de cooperación técnica por 600 mil dólares.

Tras el número musical, que estuvo a cargo de Hatun Killa con la interpretación de “La flor de la canela”, se proyectó el video sobre el expediente para la declaración de la música criolla de Lima como patrimonio cultural inmaterial de la Nación.

El alcalde Muñoz entregó al presidente Castillo un libro sobre la música criolla y el expediente citado, tras lo cual el burgomaestre capitalino hizo uso de la palabra.

Finalizada la sesión solemne, el mandatario se retiró del Teatro Municipal y retornó a Palacio de Gobierno, donde, más temprano, recibió la visita del presidente ejecutivo del Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina (CAF), Sergio Díaz-Granados.

PROYECTO RECUPERACIÓN DEL RÍO RÍMAC
En el 487 aniversario de fundación de la ciudad de Lima, se realizó la firma del convenio de cooperación técnica no reembolsable entre el municipio capitalino y la Corporación Andina de Fomento (CAF) por un monto de US$600 mil, que se empleará para el estudio de preinversión del Proyecto Especial Paisajístico Río Rímac.

Dicho proyecto ha sido elaborado por la Municipalidad de Lima, con la colaboración de actores civiles, privados y gubernamentales, y tiene como objetivo la mitigación de riesgos ocasionados por la erosión en el río y la promoción de una movilidad urbana sostenible en el área intervenida. Además, mediante una recuperación ambiental, histórica y paisajística, busca atraer la inversión privada y dinamizar la economía local gracias a la creación de nuevos empleos.

“La importancia de la firma de este convenio radica en la gran cantidad de beneficios que traerá a nuestra ciudad el Proyecto Especial Paisajístico Río Rímac. El mismo tendrá un área de influencia de más de 170 hectáreas, a través de los distritos del Cercado, el Rímac, San Martín de Porres, San Juan de Lurigancho y El Agustino. Asimismo, contempla la implementación de áreas verdes, lo que convertirá al río Rímac en el nuevo gran parque y pulmón de Lima”, destacó el burgomaestre durante la ceremonia.

Por su parte, Díaz-Granados señaló: “Estamos comprometidos en devolverle al río Rímac su importancia como recurso hídrico, histórico, ambiental y paisajístico de Lima, como parte de nuestra estrategia de promover la sostenibilidad ambiental y el desarrollo de las ciudades”.

El Proyecto Especial Paisajístico Río Rímac se ejecutará en tres zonas de intervención, para lo cual se solicitó el apoyo de la CAF. La primera se ubica entre los puentes Del Ejército y Santa Rosa; la segunda, entre los puentes Santa Rosa y Balta; y la tercera, entre el puente Balta y el límite del Centro Histórico de Lima.

RÍMAC RIVER RECOVERY PROJECT
On the 487th anniversary of the founding of the city of Lima, the non-reimbursable technical cooperation agreement was signed between the capital municipality and the Andean Development Corporation (CAF) for an amount of US$600,000, which will be used for the study of pre-investment of the Rímac River Special Landscape Project.

Said project has been prepared by the Municipality of Lima, with the collaboration of civil, private and governmental actors, and its objective is to mitigate the risks caused by erosion in the river and the promotion of sustainable urban mobility in the intervened area. In addition, through an environmental, historical and landscape recovery, it seeks to attract private investment and boost the local economy thanks to the creation of new jobs.

The Rímac River Special Landscape Project will be carried out in three intervention zones, for which CAF’s support was requested. The first is located between the bridges of the Army and Santa Rosa; the second, between the Santa Rosa and Balta bridges; and the third, between the Balta bridge and the limit of the Historic Center of Lima.
