La licenciada Liliana Chirinos, vocera de EsSalud, indicó que en esta primera etapa se está vacunando a los menores de 10 y 11 años y a aquellos que presentan factores de comorbilidad (diabetes, VIH, trasplante de órganos, TBC, etc.).

Explicó que el proceso de inmunización se desarrolla cumpliendo los protocolos de bioseguridad. Luego de aplicada la vacuna, los niños deberán volver, transcurrido 21 días, por su segunda dosis.

La vocera de EsSalud dijo que es importante que la población infantil se vacune contra el coronavirus ante el incremento de contagios que se viene presentando en niños. Según un último reporte, en la segunda semana de enero se registraron casi 9 mil nuevos casos de Covid-19 en niños de 0 a 11 años.

“Los padres de familia tienen la gran responsabilidad de cuidar la salud de sus hijos y por eso deben llevarlos a vacunar, teniendo en cuenta que estamos en una tercera ola y la presencia de la variante ómicron, que es la que está multiplicando los contagios en el país”, enfatizó.

La representante del Seguro Social anunció que los niños que se encuentran hospitalizados y están dentro del rango de edad o tienen alguna comorbilidad serán vacunados contra el Covid-19 en el propio sanatorio.

PUNTOS DE VACUNACIÓN
EsSalud dispone de diez vacunatorios en Lima y el Callao donde los niños asegurados y no asegurados pueden aplicarse el antígeno contra el coronavirus. Estos son Aljovín (Cercado de Lima), Plaza Norte (Independencia), Estadio Municipal de Surquillo, Complejo Deportivo Municipal de San Isidro y Polideportivo de San Borja.

También San Isidro Labrador (Santa Anita), Playa Miller (Jesús María), Estadio Monumental (Ate), Parque de las Leyendas (San Miguel) y Real Felipe (Callao). El horario de atención es 7am a 10 pm, con excepción del Parque de las Leyendas, que atiende de 7am a 4pm.
