Durante el encuentro, el jefe del Estado destacó las oportunidades de inversión en el Perú en sectores como infraestructura, agroexportación y energético.

Asimismo, resaltó que Emiratos Árabes Unidos ya invierte con éxito en el Perú un aproximado de 1,600 millones de dólares y que nuestro país es el segundo destino para la inversión emiratí en América del Sur.

El presidente Castillo también expresó el interés del Perú en relanzar el Foro América del Sur-Países Árabes (ASPA), en el marco de una agenda renovada, que atienda a las actuales necesidades de ambas regiones.

Durante la audiencia, el jefe del Estado estuvo acompañado por el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, César Landa; y funcionarios de la Cancillería.

El ministro saudí llegó a la sede del Ejecutivo acompañado por el embajador del Reino de Arabia Saudita en el Perú, Waleed Abdullah Mokeem; y otros funcionarios.

Es preciso indicar que se trata de la primera visita de un ministro saudí al Perú, en el contexto bilateral.

Las anteriores reuniones, de carácter bilateral, entre autoridades del Perú y de Arabia Saudita se dieron en el marco del Foro ASPA.

Peruvian News Agency PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe Twitter: @prensaperupe The President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, received the day before, at the Government Palace, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Adel bin Ahmed Al Jubeir, with whom he discussed issues on the bilateral agenda.

During the meeting, the head of state highlighted investment opportunities in Peru in sectors such as infrastructure, agricultural exports and energy.

He also highlighted that the United Arab Emirates already successfully invests approximately 1.6 billion dollars in Peru and that our country is the second destination for Emirati investment in South America.

President Castillo also expressed Peru’s interest in relaunching the South America-Arab Countries Forum (ASPA), within the framework of a renewed agenda that meets the current needs of both regions.

During the audience, the head of state was accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, César Landa; and Foreign Ministry officials.

The Saudi minister arrived at the Executive headquarters accompanied by the ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Peru, Waleed Abdullah Mokeem; and other officials.

It should be noted that this is the first visit of a Saudi minister to Peru, in the bilateral context.

The previous meetings, of a bilateral nature, between authorities from Peru and Saudi Arabia took place within the framework of the ASPA Forum.
