Remarcó que este megapuerto, cuyo monto de inversión inicial es de 1,213 millones de dólares, será uno de los puntos de desarrollo más importantes del país y servirá como una plataforma para seguir impulsando el comercio con la región Asia Pacífico.

“Los productos que exportamos irán en menor tiempo y en mejores condiciones fuera del país y lo mismo será para traer la tecnología, el desarrollo”, anotó.

Asimismo, el mandatario destacó que el desarrollo de esta importante obra genera puestos de trabajo para los pobladores de Chancay. En ese sentido, resaltó la preocupación de la empresa a cargo del proyecto por atender temas relacionados con la salud, la educación y la seguridad ciudadana, en conjunto con las entidades del Estado.

“En la medida que luchemos contra la inseguridad ciudadana, mejor se trabajará; los compromisos son serios y mutuos, de nuestra parte vamos a seguir impulsando este tipo de trabajo y que se haga bien por el país”, aseveró.

Dijo también que estas obras demuestran en la práctica que eran totalmente falsos aquellos señalamientos de que su gobierno ahuyentaría los capitales y cerraría las empresas privadas.

Acompañado por el ministro de Transportes y Comunicaciones, Nicolás Bustamante Coronado, el jefe del Estado realizó un recorrido por las obras del terminal portuario, donde observó el avance de los trabajos y el movimiento de la maquinaria empleada en esta labor.

El Terminal Portuario de Chancay se convertirá en un hub regional a efectos de redistribuir la carga a otros países cercanos como Chile, Ecuador y Colombia. Permitirá, además, descongestionar las vías de acceso al puerto del Callao, generando oportunidades para la carga proveniente del oriente y la sierra central del país. En su concepción final, la inversión del proyecto superará los 3,600 millones de dólares.

He stressed that this megaport, whose initial investment amount is 1,213 million dollars, will be one of the most important points of development in the country and will serve as a platform to continue promoting trade with the Asia Pacific region.

“The products we export will go outside the country in less time and in better conditions and the same will be true for bringing technology and development,” he noted.

Likewise, the president stressed that the development of this important work generates jobs for the residents of Chancay. In this sense, he highlighted the concern of the company in charge of the project to address issues related to health, education and citizen security, in conjunction with State entities.

“To the extent that we fight against citizen insecurity, the better we will work; the commitments are serious and mutual, on our part we are going to continue promoting this type of work and that it be done well for the country”, he asserted.

He also said that these works demonstrate in practice that those accusations that his government would drive away capital and close private companies were totally false.

Accompanied by the Minister of Transport and Communications, Nicolás Bustamante Coronado, the head of state toured the port terminal works, where he observed the progress of the work and the movement of the machinery used in this work.

The Chancay Port Terminal will become a regional hub in order to redistribute cargo to other nearby countries such as Chile, Ecuador and Colombia. It will also allow to decongest the access roads to the port of Callao, generating opportunities for cargo coming from the east and the central highlands of the country. In its final conception, the investment of the project will exceed 3,600 million dollars.
