Municipalidad de Santiago fue el lugar donde se reunió el presidente Pedro Castillo y el mandatario electo de Chile Gabriel Boric.

Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe Twitter: @prensaperupe El presidente de la República, Pedro Castillo, se reunió hoy con el mandatario electo de Chile, Gabriel Boric, con quien dialogó acerca de temas de interés de la agenda bilateral y los espacios de cooperación para un trabajo conjunto en asuntos regionales y globales.

El mandatario peruano y su comitiva, integrada por el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, César Landa; y el embajador del Perú en Chile, Jaime Pomareda, fueron recibidos por Boric en la Municipalidad de Santiago.

Tras un saludo afectuoso y la entrega de un presente por parte del presidente Castillo, se dio inicio a la reunión privada entre ambos dignatarios, en la cual se tenía previsto conversar sobre el Encuentro Presidencial y el Gabinete Binacional de Ministros, suspendidos desde el 2020 por la pandemia de la COVID-19. Corresponde a Chile organizar el IV Gabinete Binacional.

También sobre temas referidos al fortalecimiento y ampliación de la Alianza del Pacífico, la Comunidad de Estados Latinoamericanos y Caribeños (Celac), el diálogo interamericano en la Organización de los Estados Americanos (OEA), así como la reapertura de fronteras, entre otros.

Se debe destacar que las relaciones con Chile se desarrollan al más alto nivel. Asimismo, Chile es el segundo socio comercial del Perú en América Latina. El intercambio comercial entre ambos países ascendió a 3,005 millones de dólares en el 2021. Además, es el primer emisor de turistas hacia el Perú.

Aproximadamente 225 mil peruanos residen de manera permanente en Chile, mientras que unos 10 mil chilenos radican en el Perú.

HOMENAJE A ALLENDE
Posteriormente, y como parte de sus actividades en Chile, el jefe de Estado rindió homenaje a Salvador Allende y depositó una ofrenda floral al pie de la tumba donde reposan los restos del ex mandatario chileno, en el Cementerio General de Santiago.

TRIBUTE TO ALLENDE
