La obra, a cargo de Emape, permitirá que el 85% de la carga vehicular actual del óvalo se desplace de manera rápida por el viaducto, dejando libre la parte baja para los cruces entre las avenidas Javier Prado Este, Las Palmeras y El Golf Los Incas.

Con un 86% de avance, ya se han culminado los pilares, vigas cabezales del viaducto y casi toda la plataforma. “Se vienen desarrollando las rampas de acceso y las barreras de seguridad de concreto en los bordes laterales y la parte central, donde irán instalados los postes de alumbrado. La próxima semana empezaremos con el asfaltado de los carriles de la losa”, refirió el burgomaestre.

A nivel de superficie se encuentran en ejecución los sardineles, veredas, rampas y la colocación de barandas metálicas en los alrededores. También se desarrollan los trabajos para la instalación de semáforos, la implementación del paisajismo y próximamente se efectuará el retiro de la subestación de torre eléctrica ubicada a la altura del puente Olguín, en coordinación con Luz del Sur.

“Tenemos proyectado concluir esta infraestructura a fines de abril. Estamos realizando los trabajos finales para entregar la obra en la fecha prevista. Una vez en funcionamiento, las más de 30 mil unidades que pasan a diario por este sector ahorrarán hasta 30 minutos en tiempos de viaje”, sostuvo Muñoz.

El paso a desnivel en el óvalo Monitor Huáscar contará con barreras de seguridad de concreto, postes de alumbrado, y señalización vertical y horizontal.

Con más de S/80 millones de inversión, 150 mil m2 de área intervenida y casi 2 km de extensión también dispondrá de veredas y cruceros semaforizados, áreas verdes y rampas de accesibilidad a nivel de superficie.
