“El sábado 26 de marzo llevaremos a cabo la asamblea del Acuerdo Nacional, están ustedes invitados a participar de manera disciplinada y orgánica, con la finalidad de ordenarnos. Soy un demócrata, vengo de estos espacios, de haber participado en grandes eventos con universitarios, profesionales y alcaldes para ver las necesidades el país”, indicó.

Reiteró que, por su parte, tal como lo señaló en su mensaje al país desde el Congreso de la República, ha volteado la página de la confrontación, dado que esa acción solo le hace daño al país.

“Desde que asumimos el Gobierno hemos presentado proyectos de ley para que se agenden en el Congreso los temas de gobernabilidad, para que, por el país y por los pueblos profundos, cese lo que siempre se dice: la vacancia presidencial y el cierre del Congreso. Hay que poner al Perú por delante”, enfatizó.

Ante los alcaldes que participaron en el encuentro, el jefe de Estado afirmó que este evento es un ejemplo porque se trata de una forma democrática y abierta de decirle al Gobierno “aquí estamos para hacer una sola fuerza”.

“Esta es la verdadera democracia del pueblo, el grito de las autoridades que quieren ser atendidas, cuenten conmigo para eso. No he venido para la foto, sino para una convocatoria amplia”, aseveró.

En ese marco, instó a los autoridades locales y regionales a fortalecer las mancomunidades, instancias que permiten ponerse de acuerdo sobre las necesidades de la población, considerando espacios territoriales más amplios.

Precisó que la lucha contra la pobreza, la desigualdad y el cierre de brechas requieren del compromiso de todos y de la firme voluntad de actuar con transparencia.

Asimismo, el mandatario, pidió al jefe del Gabinete Ministerial y a los ministros de Estado pasar del discurso a los hechos y de las palabras a la acción, para que las necesidades de los pueblos sean atendidas, en el marco de una verdadera descentralización.

Tras finalizar dicha actividad, el presidente Castillo sostuvo un encuentro con la población de Calca, durante el cual deslindó, una vez más, con actos de corrupción e instó a poner en agenda la distritalización de los centros poblados, para que puedan tener presupuesto y ejecutar obras en beneficio de sus habitantes.
