Chero Medina es abogado de profesión, egresado de la Universidad Nacional Pedro Ruiz Gallo de Lambayeque. Cuenta con una maestría en Derecho, con mención en Ciencias Penales, y ha ejercido la docencia universitaria.
Asimismo, se ha desempeñado como director general de la Defensoría del Policía del Ministerio del Interior y como jefe de Gabinete del Despacho Ministerial del Ministerio de Defensa.
La ceremonia de juramentación se realizó en la sala Cáceres de Palacio de Gobierno

Chero Medina is a lawyer by profession, graduated from the Pedro Ruiz Gallo National University of Lambayeque. He has a master’s degree in Law, with a mention in Criminal Sciences, and has taught at the university.
He has also served as general director of the Police Ombudsman of the Ministry of the Interior and as chief of staff of the Ministerial Office of the Ministry of Defense.
