“Imagínense tener estos resultados en tres meses, más de once toneladas de este producto nefasto que daña a la juventud y que lleva a la sociedad por otro camino”, señaló.

El mandatario lideró esta tarde la ceremonia de presentación de más de tres toneladas de droga incautada en diversos operativos realizados por la PNP a nivel nacional, del 8 de febrero a la actualidad, que se llevó a cabo en la sede de la Dirección Antidrogas de la PNP, ubicada en Surquillo.

Durante su intervención, el jefe de Estado resaltó la labor que realiza la PNP en la lucha contra el narcotráfico y, en ese sentido, manifestó que su gobierno hará un reconocimiento a esta institución.

“No solo venimos aquí a dar muestras del enorme esfuerzo de nuestra policía. Vamos a hacer el reconocimiento a toda la institución; hay una deuda con la policía en el tema laboral, porque esto (el decomiso de más de 11 toneladas de droga) es fruto del trabajo mancomunado”, anotó e indicó que cuando se tiene amor a la patria, como es el caso de la PNP, “estos son los resultados”.

“Cuenten con nuestro apoyo para reforzar este trabajo de la policía”, dijo y expresó su seguridad de que las fuerzas del orden destruirán los centros y pozos de maceración de droga ya identificados, así como las pistas clandestinas de aterrizaje de aeronaves del narcotráfico en zonas de la selva del país.

Asimismo, sostuvo que el combate al tráfico ilícito de drogas y otros problemas que presenta el país tiene que ser asumido con responsabilidad.

En esa línea, el presidente Castillo ratificó el compromiso de su gobierno de luchar de manera firme contra el narcotráfico y la delincuencia.

Resaltó que en las zonas de frontera con países vecinos se han asumido tareas conjuntas de lucha contra tales flagelos.

En otro momento, anotó que las Fuerzas Armadas están a disposición de la patria para combatir la inseguridad ciudadana en el país.

En la ceremonia participaron la primera vicepresidenta de la República y ministra de Desarrollo e Inclusión Social, Dina Boluarte; y los titulares del Interior, Alfonso Chávarry; y de Defensa, José Gavidia; así como el comandante general de la PNP, general PNP Vicente Tiburcio; y el director de la Dirandro, general PNP Deny Rodríguez Bardales.

“You can count on our support to reinforce this police work,” he said, expressing his confidence that the security forces will destroy the already identified drug maceration centers and pits, as well as the clandestine landing strips for drug trafficking aircraft in areas from the jungle of the country.

Likewise, he maintained that the fight against illicit drug trafficking and other problems that the country presents must be assumed responsibly.

Along these lines, President Castillo ratified his government’s commitment to fight firmly against drug trafficking and crime.

He stressed that in the border areas with neighboring countries, joint tasks have been undertaken to combat such scourges.

At another time, he noted that the Armed Forces are at the disposal of the homeland to combat citizen insecurity in the country.
