Así lo recalcó durante la actividad desarrollada en el Palacio de Justicia, en el marco del proyecto: “Instituciones de Justicia Efectivas y Transparentes para el Crecimiento Inclusivo”.

Barrios Alvarado explicó que su gestión trabaja en cinco ejes: integridad y transparencia, transformación digital, descarga procesal y fortalecimiento jurisdiccional, la modernización institucional, así como el acceso a la justicia y políticas públicas.

Resaltó el uso de las tecnologías de la información para mejorar el servicio de justicia en materias como la lucha contra la corrupción, la implementación de la plataforma ‘Conoce a tu juez’ que agrupa los aplicativos Casilleros Digitales, El juez te escucha y el Módulo del Sentido de Decisiones Judiciales.

Indicó que una prioridad del Poder Judicial es confrontar la discriminación contra las mujeres, la cual, lamentó, genera recortes en el reconocimiento y el ejercicio de sus derechos e impacta en la administración de justicia frente a la tutela judicial efectiva que se debe garantizar a las mujeres víctimas de violencia.

“Incorporar el enfoque de género es una obligación de índole constitucional y obligatoria en el sistema de justicia siendo que la igualdad ante la ley es un derecho fundamental atendiendo que el género produce un trato diferenciado a hombres y mujeres, lo que genera desigualdad”, sostuvo.

Participaron en la actividad Tatiana Teplova, líder de la delegación de la misión de la OCDE, como otros funcionarios de esta entidad, presidentes y presidentas de las comisiones del Poder Judicial, entre ellas la jueza suprema Janet Tello Gilardi y la magistrada Elvira Álvarez Olazábal.

También la jefa de gabinete de asesores de la Presidencia del Poder Judicial, Silvia Loli Espinoza; el director del Centro de Investigaciones Judiciales, Bruno Novoa Campos, entre otros funcionarios.
