“Nuestros niños necesitan estar alimentados, por ello anuncio que por medio de este programa estamos garantizando la atención a más de cuatro millones de escolares en más de 64 mil instituciones educativas del país”, manifestó al liderar la ceremonia de inauguración de la Institución Educativa Inicial “San Pedro Apóstol”, ubicada en el centro poblado de Puerto Pizarro, en el distrito de Tumbes, en la región del mismo nombre.

El mandatario destacó que el 100 por ciento de las instituciones educativas a nivel nacional ha vuelto de manera progresiva a la presencialidad escolar y sostuvo que es importante que los escolares estudien en libertad.

“Fue un verdadero reto que nos atrevimos a hacer. Basta de encierros, creemos importante que luego de la pandemia nuestros hijos se manifiesten, pues necesitamos educación con libertad para que los niños se expresen y sean capaces de decir lo que sienten”, enfatizó.

Informó que en la región Tumbes se han edificado 21 centros educativos y otros 15 están en proceso de construcción. Precisó que estas acciones vienen demandando una inversión de 20 millones de soles.

Solo en la institución educativa “San Pedro Apóstol” se ha invertido más de un millón y medio de soles para que más de 300 niños y niñas puedan recibir una educación de calidad, anotó.

“Reitero que este es el gobierno y el quinquenio de la educación peruana. Invertiremos lo que sea necesario para que todos los centros educativos del país estén abiertos de par en par”, remarcó.

Al referirse a la vacunación contra la COVID-19, destacó que este proceso que se lleva a cabo en el país ha contribuido a cristalizar el objetivo de la presencialidad escolar.

En ese contexto, el mandatario reiteró que el Gobierno está ultimando detalles acerca del proyecto de ley del ingreso libre a las universidades para los jóvenes que terminan la secundaria.

“Quiero saludar y dirigirme a los padres de familia para decirles que mi gobierno está empeñado en fortalecer la educación superior, pues la vida académica no termina en la secundaria”, expresó.

En otro momento, el jefe de Estado señaló que marzo ha sido un mes desafiante para todos los peruanos, pero resaltó el esfuerzo y el compromiso de las autoridades de los tres niveles de gobierno para atender las necesidades de la población.

“Tenemos que mirar a la necesidad como un desafío. Cada turbulencia que existe la tomamos como un reto y hoy estamos en un momento donde nuestros hermanos agricultores y transportistas han tomado las calles con justa razón, porque les asiste el derecho”, manifestó.

En ese sentido, el mandatario indicó que en la víspera recibió a un grupo de agricultores, mientras que una comitiva del Ejecutivo, integrada por ministros de Estado, estuvo en Huancayo, en la región Junín, para hablar con ellos y con transportistas en el mismo lugar de los hechos.

“Vamos a invitar a los ministros de Educación, de Desarrollo Agrario y Riego y de Vivienda para que recorran Tumbes y conozcan de cerca sus necesidades”, indicó.

At another point, the head of state pointed out that March has been a challenging month for all Peruvians, but highlighted the effort and commitment of the authorities of the three levels of government to meet the needs of the population.

“We have to look at the need as a challenge. We take every turbulence that exists as a challenge and today we are at a time when our brother farmers and transporters have taken to the streets with just reason, because they are assisted by the right”, he said.

In this sense, the president indicated that the day before he received a group of farmers, while a delegation from the Executive, made up of state ministers, was in Huancayo, in the Junín region, to speak with them and with carriers in the same the place of the scene.

“We are going to invite the Ministers of Education, Agricultural Development and Irrigation and Housing to tour Tumbes and learn about their needs,” he said.
