“Reiteramos nuestro infatigable compromiso con el multilateralismo y el respeto al derecho internacional, contra el cambio climático, el tráfico y consumo de drogas, la corrupción y otros temas globales”, refirió.
Así lo aseguró durante la ceremonia de presentación de cartas credenciales de los embajadores extraordinarios y plenipotenciarios concurrentes de nueve países, acreditados ante la República del Perú como Croacia, Noruega, Angola, Nigeria, Ghana, Singapur, Namibia, Sudáfrica y Túnez.
Cabe mencionar que la creación de este primer tratado se aprobó en la Asamblea de las Naciones Unidas para el Medio Ambiente en marzo de este año y comenzará a elaborarse a partir de junio próximo.
El jefe de Estado reafirmó hoy que el Perú es un destino seguro para las inversiones, donde se respetan las actividades de las empresas nacionales y extranjeras en el marco del Estado de Derecho, así como la estabilidad jurídica.
Durante su alocución, el mandatario remarcó que el año pasado el Perú tuvo un crecimiento del 13% del Producto Bruto Interno (PBI) y una economía que se posicionó como una de las más sólidas entre los países de la región, debido a la baja deuda interna, externa y gracias al trabajo de todas las peruanas y peruanos.
Con respecto al comercio, el jefe de Estado destacó la entrada en vigor para el Perú del Tratado Integral y Progresista de Asociación Transpacífico (CPTPP), siendo así el octavo miembro pleno junto con Australia, Canadá, Japón, México, Nueva Zelanda, Singapur y Vietnam.
“Dicho acuerdo reviste especial relevancia, pues abarca un mercado conjunto de más de 500 millones de potenciales consumidores, con economías que representan el 13 % de la producción mundial y el 15 % del comercio internacional”, anotó.
El presidente Castillo hizo un llamado a los embajadores concurrentes, a fin de que afiancen los esfuerzos que su gobierno está haciendo para mantener la presencia del Perú como un socio activo y confiable en el escenario internacional. “Reafirmo el compromiso de impulsar una política exterior al servicio de la paz, la democracia y el desarrollo sostenible”.
El evento se realizó en la sede del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y contó también con la participación del Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores, César Landa Arroyo.

This was stated during the presentation ceremony of the credentials of the concurrent extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors from nine countries, accredited to the Republic of Peru such as Croatia, Norway, Angola, Nigeria, Ghana, Singapore, Namibia, South Africa and Tunisia.
It is worth mentioning that the creation of this first treaty was approved at the United Nations Environment Assembly in March of this year and work will begin next June.
The head of state reaffirmed today that Peru is a safe destination for investments, where the activities of national and foreign companies are respected within the framework of the rule of law, as well as legal stability.
During his speech, the president remarked that last year Peru had a growth of 13% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and an economy that positioned itself as one of the most solid among the countries of the region, due to the low debt internal, external and thanks to the work of all Peruvians.
With regard to trade, the head of state highlighted the entry into force for Peru of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), thus being the eighth full member together with Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore and Vietnam.
“This agreement is of special relevance, since it covers a joint market of more than 500 million potential consumers, with economies that represent 13% of world production and 15% of international trade,” he noted.
President Castillo called on the concurrent ambassadors to strengthen the efforts that their government is making to maintain Peru’s presence as an active and reliable partner on the international stage. “I reaffirm the commitment to promote a foreign policy at the service of peace, democracy and sustainable development.”
The event was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and also included the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, César Landa Arroyo.
