Su ministración en el país se inició el Miércoles 25 de Mayo con un Devocional para miembros de la Iglesia en Iquitos, continuó el Jueves 26 con un Devocional para miembros en la ciudad de Chiclayo, donde el Viernes 27 se reunió con los misioneros del norte del Perú.
El Sábado 28 de Mayo presidió una Conferencia para Líderes en Lima en un centro de reuniones de La Molina. Previamente se había reunido con los misioneros de las misiones de Lima y del Centro de Capacitación Misional.
Y en su último día de gira ministerial en Perú el Domingo 29 de Mayo presidió dos conferencias especiales realizadas en las unidades de la Iglesia Rímac y Lima Central.
La autoridad general de La Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días extendió el saludo y agradecimiento del Presidente Russell M. Nelson, a los miembros expresando que “Recibe mucha ayuda y fuerza espiritual por motivo de sus oraciones”
El Élder D. Todd Christofferson fue llamado al Cuórum de los Doce Apóstoles de La Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días el 5 de abril de 2008. Al momento de ser llamado, servía en la Presidencia de los Setenta. Entre otros llamamientos, ha servido a la Iglesia como representante regional, presidente de estaca y obispo. De joven sirvió como misionero en Argentina. Se casó con Katherine Jacob Christofferson y son padres de cinco hijos.

Elder D. Todd Christofferson was called to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 5, 2008. At the time of his call, he was serving in the Presidency of the Seventy. Among other callings, he has served the Church as a regional representative, stake president, and bishop. As a young man he served as a missionary in Argentina. He married Katherine Jacob Christofferson and they are the parents of five children.
