El burgomaestre de la ciudad de Tumbes Dr. Jimy Silva Mena, en la víspera desplegó en Lima una serie de reuniones en diversos ministerios del país, uno de ellos fue el de Transportes y Comunicaciones MTC, en donde sostuvo visitó el Ministerio de una agenda de trabajo con el titular del pliego ministerial respectivo Juan Barranzuela Quiroga, en donde coincidieron una serie de políticas municipales a tomar en cuenta para el reordenamiento del tránsito en la puerta de entrada al Perú por el norte del continente como es la provincia de Tumbes.
Asimismo en dicha reunión de trabajo, también participaron los funcionarios , Ing. Pablo Félix Luciani – Director Ejecutivo de Promovilidad, Dra Luz Castañeda Pérez -Especialista en Medio Ambiente Sostenible, Arq. Miguel Ángel Barrientos Benites – Especialista en Proyectos de Inversión, Ing. Alex Ríos Navarro – Especialista; todos ellos del Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones MTC.
En declaraciones a los medios de comunicación de Lima el alcalde de Tumbes y actual presidente de la Asociación Binacional de Alcaldes del Sur de Ecuador y del Norte del Perú ABIMSENOP manifestó meridianamente su satisfacción por lograr dar este primer paso en la suscripción de este “Convenio Marco de Cooperación Interinstitucional en Transporte Urbano”; y que en base a ello se desplegarán acciones de asistencia técnica en beneficio de la ejecución de las actividades del transporte en la provincia que tengo el honor de liderar, puntualizó.
