El mandatario arribó al Grupo Aéreo N° 8 al promediar las 09:30 horas luego de haber sostenido importantes reuniones de trabajo en el marco de una agenda internacional por la cumbre. Dicho evento congregó a jefes de Estado y de gobierno de diversos países, entre ellos el presidente de Estados Unidos, Joe Biden.
Además, se reunió con sus homólogos Gabriel Boric (Chile), Iván Duque (Colombia) y Rodrigo Chaves (Costa Rica), y el anfitrión del evento, Joe Biden, con quienes dialogó la necesidad del fortalecimiento bilateral, la lucha contra el cambio climático, corrupción y, primordialmente, la búsqueda de agendas comunes a nivel de América para afrontar la crisis alimentaria y de salud pospandemia.
Durante su estadía en Los Ángeles, el jefe de Estado también sostuvo encuentros con directivos de empresas trasnacionales en la búsqueda de atraer inversiones y capacitaciones técnicas productivas para el país. En ese contexto, se reunió con el presidente de la CAF – Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina, Sergio Díaz-Granados, y demás líderes empresariales.
