En ese sentido el presidente de la República, Pedro Castillo Terrones, se mostró preocupado debido a la inasistencia de los miembros que conforman el Consejo para la Reforma del Sistema de Justicia (CRSJ) a la sesión extraordinaria que se convocó hoy en Palacio de Gobierno.

“Se trata de una obligación establecida por la Ley N° 30492. Lamentamos que por segunda vez, varios miembros del Consejo de Reforma de Justicia, no hayan participado en las sesiones a los cuales se les citó con mucha anticipación y que tenía como objetivo propuestas concretas sobre el sistema de justicia. Dejan un mal precedente ante la población de que no les interesa una de las más grandes reformas que necesita el país”, subrayó.

El 31 de mayo último, el Poder Ejecutivo, a través del Ministerio de Justicia y Derechos Humanos, envió un oficio a los máximos representantes de las instituciones que conforman el CRSJ con el fin de convocarlos a una sesión extraordinaria para el viernes 17 de junio a las 16:00 horas.

Sin embargo, no asistieron los titulares del Congreso de la República, María del Carmen Alva; de la Fiscalía de la Nación, Pablo Sánchez; del Tribunal Constitucional, Augusto Ferrero y de la Junta Nacional de Justicia, Henry Alva.

Pese a la falta de quórum, que les impidió adoptar decisiones, el Jefe de Estado, Pedro Castillo; la presidenta del Poder Judicial, Elva Barrios; el Contralor General de la República, Nelson Shack; la Defensora del pueblo (e), Eliana Revollar y el ministro de Justicia y Derechos Humanos, Félix Chero se reunieron por casi una hora y abordaron temas relacionados al fortalecimiento del sistema de justicia a nivel nacional.

La ausencia de las autoridades impidió que se desarrolle la agenda establecida para hoy entre los que figuraban: elegir al presidente o presidenta del CRSJ, impulsar el desarrollo de las unidades de flagrancia y establecer la provisionalidad de los jueces y fiscales del país.

Asimismo, se postergó el debate de otros temas importantes como la revisión de la matriz de propuestas de política pública en materia de justicia y la evaluación del estudio de la OCDE: “Revisión de la justicia de la ODCE en el Perú: instituciones de justicia eficaces y transparentes para el crecimiento inclusivo”.

Cabe precisar que esta es la segunda reunión fallida del CRSJ en menos de un mes, teniendo en cuenta que el 31 de mayo pasado tampoco se alcanzó el quorum requerido.

Al respecto, el mandatario exhortó a los miembros del CRSJ a que se pongan de lado del país e impulsen las iniciativas de reformas que permitan mejorar los estándares de vida de todos los peruanos.

The absence of the authorities prevented the development of the agenda established for today, among which were: electing the president of the CRSJ, promoting the development of the flagrancy units and establishing the provisional nature of the country’s judges and prosecutors.

Likewise, the debate on other important issues was postponed, such as the review of the matrix of public policy proposals on justice and the evaluation of the OECD study: “Review of the ODCE justice in Peru: effective justice institutions and transparent for inclusive growth”.

It should be noted that this is the second failed meeting of the CRSJ in less than a month, taking into account that on May 31, the required quorum was not reached either.

In this regard, the president urged the members of the CRSJ to side with the country and promote reform initiatives that allow improving the living standards of all Peruvians.
