Presidente Pedro Castillo luego de reunirse con representantes de la FIFA y la FPF, respaldó organización de la Copa Mundial Sub-17 Perú 2023.

Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe Twitter: @prensaperupe El presidente de la República, Pedro Castillo Terrones, respaldó en la víspera los avances del trabajo que viene realizando la Federación Peruana de Fútbol respecto a la organización para la próxima Copa Mundial Sub-17 de la FIFA Perú 2023 y destacó la importancia del evento para la sociedad peruana y el desarrollo del deporte nacional.

El mandatario dijo “que el Gobierno está comprometido en asegurar el éxito del mencionado evento deportivo”, tras sostener una reunión de trabajo con el director de torneos de la Federación Internacional de Fútbol Asociación (FIFA), Jaime Yarza; el presidente de la Federación Peruana de Fútbol (FPF), Agustín Lozano Saavedra, y otros miembros representantes de ambas instituciones deportivas.

Entre los temas de agenda que se abordaron en Palacio de Gobierno figuran: la presentación del plan de trabajo de la organización, los avances del cronograma de obras para mejorar los estadios, logística, seguridad y recursos presupuestales para concretar de manera eficiente dicho evento deportivo internacional.

En la reunión también participaron el gerente de Torneos Masculinos de la FIFA, Gian Keller, el Secretario General de la FPF, Jean Marcel Robilliard; y el Director de Desarrollo de la FPF, Guillermo Echevarría.

En declaraciones a la prensa, el representante de la FIFA Jaime Yarza, agradeció el compromiso del Gobierno del presidente Castillo por impulsar y mostrar su decidido apoyo al deporte nacional. “Nos encontramos satisfechos por los avances generados hasta el momento” enfatizó.

“El Mundial Sub 17, es un legado importante para el país, un beneficio para el pueblo peruano. Hay que trabajar de forma coordinada con la Federación Peruana de Fútbol y el Gobierno”, indicó.

Las coordinaciones entre el Poder Ejecutivo, la FIFA y la FPF continuarán en los próximos meses con el propósito de avanzar en la agenda conjunta que garantice la realización exitosa de la Jaime Yarza.

Cabe precisar que esta es la primera visita que realizan los funcionarios de la FIFA al Perú luego que el mandatario otorgara las garantías gubernamentales a la Federación Peruana de Fútbol el pasado 28 de abril.

The meeting was also attended by the manager of FIFA Men’s Tournaments, Gian Keller, the Secretary General of the FPF, Jean Marcel Robilliard; and the Director of Development of the FPF, Guillermo Echevarría.

In statements to the press, FIFA representative Jaime Yarza thanked President Castillo’s government for its commitment to promote and show its strong support for national sport. “We are satisfied with the progress made so far,” he emphasized.

“The Under 17 World Cup is an important legacy for the country, a benefit for the Peruvian people. We must work in coordination with the Peruvian Football Federation and the Government”, he indicated.

The coordination between the Executive Power, FIFA and the FPF will continue in the coming months with the purpose of advancing in the joint agenda that guarantees the successful realization of the U-17 World Cup Peru 2023.

It should be noted that this is the first visit made by FIFA officials to Peru after the president granted government guarantees to the Peruvian Football Federation on April 28.
