“Desde Palacio de Gobierno, y estoy seguro que desde los lugares más recónditos del país, aplaudimos su participación en esta competencia internacional” señaló el mandatario, al referir que fueron en total 145 medallas las que se lograron obtener.

Sostuvo que “ustedes son ejemplo y orgullo para todos los peruanos, el esfuerzo y entrega que han dado para dejar en alto el nombre del país merece ser reconocido, valorado y premiado”.

Ante decenas de deportistas que se congregaron en el Patio de Honor, el mandatario ratificó que su gobierno seguirá apoyando el deporte. Una de sus acciones en esa dirección es la reciente aprobación del documento normativo para el desarrollo de los Juegos Escolares Deportivos y Paradeportivos 2022.

PERÚ SEDE DE GRANDES EVENTOS DEPORTIVOS Durante su mensaje, el jefe de Estado también refirió que el Perú se prepara para ser sede de grandes torneos internacionales, como la Copa Mundial de Fútbol Sub-17.

“Mi gobierno está comprometido en asegurar el éxito de este evento deportivo, hace poco nos reunimos con el director de Torneos de la FIFA, donde se reconoció los avances del cronograma de obras para mejorar los estadios, la logística, la seguridad, entre otros aspectos”, mencionó.

Asimismo, refirió que el 2024 se llevarán a cabo los Juegos Bolivarianos del Bicentenario, en Ayacucho, competencia internacional que pondrá a dicha región y al Perú en los ojos del mundo.

“El 2024 será un año histórico porque conmemoraremos juntos el Bicentenario de la Independencia del Perú y, al mismo tiempo, organizaremos la competencia deportiva más importante de la región, porque el deporte une a los pueblos, el deporte fortalece, el deporte genera paz y desarrollo”, ratificó.

La ceremonia contó con la participación del ministro de Educación, Rosendo Serna; del presidente del Comité Olímpico Peruano, Renzo Manyari Velazco; del Presidente del Instituto Peruano del Deporte, Máximo Pérez Zevallos, y de los deportistas participantes de los referidos juegos deportivos.
