La inauguración estuvo a cargo del presidente Pedro Castillo, la primera dama, Lilia Paredes y el ministro de Cultura, Alejandro Salas.

El ministro Salas manifestó que, no solo se conmemora los 15 años de Ruraq maki, sino que también celebramos y valoramos el trabajo de los artistas tradicionales, que recogen los conocimientos de sus ancestros. “Este es un evento maravilloso que como peruano nos integra, es un evento reconocido no solo a nivel nacional sino también a nivel internacional, es un evento que nos permite exportar al mundo lo maravilloso que es nuestro arte tradicional”, dijo.

También anunció la aprobación de la RM N.° 210-2022-MC que, después de 15 años, oficializa Ruraq maki como una iniciativa de especial relevancia que no solo integra ferias, sino también talleres y participación de pueblos indígenas u originarios.

Indicó que llegaron más regiones para participar en este evento y que personas que están privadas de su libertad también presentarán su trabajo de arte popular, volviéndose a integrar a la sociedad.

Asimismo, expresó un reconocimiento a quienes impulsaron esta iniciativa desde hace 15 años, como el apoyo de Soledad Mujica, que hizo que este acto sea una realidad.

“Un mensaje a ustedes maravillosos artistas, un mensaje de unión, democracia y de tranquilidad y de esperanza. Y decirles a los peruanos que visiten y apoyen Ruraq maki. Decirle a todo nuestro país que guardamos la esperanza de tener un país mejor. Que, a pesar de los obstáculos, de las situaciones complejas que se puedan presentar, ni tirios ni troyanos, ni ningún caballo de Troya va a poder parar lo que es la democracia en nuestro país”, enfatizó.

Por su parte, el presidente Pedro Castillo señaló que Ruraq maki es más que un encuentro, es la reivindicación y la puesta en valor de nuestra historia, de nuestra cultura y espíritu milenario.

“Para mí, es un honor participar en este mes de la patria, en esta inauguración tan importante que es uno de los programas integrales más importantes que alberga y que conduce el Ministerio de Cultura en favor del arte y de la tradición y lo popular, que se trata de Ruraq maki – hecho a mano”, sostuvo.

EDICIÓN RURAQ MAKI
Esta edición reúne a los artesanos y artistas tradicionales de todo el país, en un Encuentro Cultural, que se desarrollará por 10 días, que estará acompañado de música, danza, gastronomía y cine, de manera descentralizada y de forma simultánea, en las sedes de Lima, La Libertad, Ayacucho, Tacna y San Martín.

En esta ceremonia de inauguración, también se realizó el encendido del frontis del ministerio, con motivos patrióticos, gracias al Video mapping a cargo de la empresa Enel X, que se sumó a esta celebración cultural.

Allí se desplegó más de 80 proyectores de última tecnología para la iluminación arquitectónica del Ministerio de Cultura, en un espectáculo de efectos y luces en movimiento, totalmente único. Además, el 28 y 29 de julio, se iluminará la fachada del ministerio, con un espectáculo de luces con motivos dedicados especialmente al Perú.

Para esta edición especial, en total son 125 artesanos y artistas tradicionales los que se reunirán desde este jueves 21 al 31 de julio, en la sede del Ministerio de Cultura, en San Borja, en el horario de las 10:00 a.m. a 8:00 p.m. El ingreso es libre. Este es un motivo para conmemorar nuestras Fiestas Patrias.

En esta edición en Lima, 20 nuevos colectivos provenientes de diez regiones del país se integran a la celebración de los quince años de Ruraq maki. Nos traen su arte desde Amazonas, Apurímac, Ayacucho, Cusco, Junín y Piura.

En esta oportunidad se encontrarán expresiones como alfarería y cerámica, textiles, cestería, talabartería, imaginería, mascarería, luthería, joyería, sombrería, pintura tradicional, talla, mates y huingos, juguetería.

También estarán 23 colectivos vinculados a tradiciones amazónicas de los pueblos originarios Ashaninka, Awajún, Bora, Ese eja, Iskonawa, Kukama Kukamiria, Shipibo – Konibo, Ticuna, Yanesha y Yine; 6 de ellos participan por primera vez. Además, por primera vez, estarán dos stands con artesanía presentada por el INPE.

SOBRE RURAQ MAKI
Ruraq maki es una iniciativa del Ministerio de Cultura, cuyo objetivo principal es la salvaguarda del patrimonio inmaterial a través de la comercialización de artesanía y arte tradicional, con el propósito de garantizar un ingreso económico a los artesanos (portadores de estos conocimientos) y la divulgación de las múltiples tradiciones artesanales que conservan la historia de la diversidad cultural en el Perú.

Esta iniciativa nació hace 15 años, producto de la interacción del Museo Nacional de la Cultura Peruana, el primero en albergar colecciones de artesanía y arte popular en el Perú, y la Dirección de Patrimonio Inmaterial. A lo largo de estos años, Ruraq maki se ha consolidado como el espacio de visibilidad, promoción y difusión del arte tradicional más importante del país.

Tell our entire country that we keep the hope of having a better country. For his part, President Pedro Castillo pointed out that Ruraq maki is more than a meeting, it is the vindication and enhancement of our history, our culture and ancient spirit.

RURAQ MAKI EDITION
This edition brings together traditional artisans and artists from all over the country, in a Cultural Meeting, which will take place for 10 days, which will be accompanied by music, dance, gastronomy and cinema, in a decentralized manner and simultaneously, at the headquarters of Lima, La Libertad, Ayacucho, Tacna and San Martin.

ABOUT RURAQ MAKI
