“Esperamos que la próxima Mesa Directiva priorice esta importante iniciativa del Poder Ejecutivo, a fin de que el país pueda tener esta institución que promueva las grandes escalas de ciencia, de la tecnología y la innovación, tan fundamentales para un crecimiento sostenido que el Perú necesita. Estoy seguro que el Parlamento se pondrá de lado del país”, refirió.
Al inaugurar el evento “Ciencia y Tecnología Ambiental 2022”, el mandatario sostuvo que el conocimiento y la investigación son piezas fundamentales para generar valor agregado, amplía la capacidad exportadora e impacta directamente en la economía y en la calidad de vida de los pueblos.
Destacó además que la ciencia, la tecnología y la innovación son una herramienta importante para alcanzar la igualdad de oportunidades, una de las grandes metas trazadas en su gobierno.
“La ciencia, la tecnología y la innovación son cruciales no solo para enfrentar la pandemia sino también para avanzar hacia una recuperación transformadora con igualdad y sostenibilidad. Han sido esenciales para el manejo de la crisis sanitaria y la producción de vacunas en tiempo récord, lo que muestra que el Perú también necesita inversión e investigación”, aseveró.
El jefe de Estado, precisó que su gobierno está convencido de que no hay futuro sin investigación, ni educación, por ello viene impulsando desde hace meses un trabajo articulado y con responsabilidades definidas para fortalecer de forma transversal la educación virtual, la telemedicina, el gobierno digital, entre otros.
Asimismo, indicó que la globalización de la economía presenta nuevos retos, uno de los cuales es darles sostenibilidad y valor agregado a los recursos naturales, reduciendo los impactos negativos en el medio ambiente. Sólo así se garantizará que las generaciones venideras reciban mejores condiciones de vida y que el Perú alcance el objetivo de ser un país desarrollado.
“Una de las grandes lecciones de la pandemia es el posicionamiento de la digitalización, así como la necesidad de acelerarla y de cerrar las brechas nacionales y regionales. Los retos son muchos en conectividad, alfabetización digital y científica para construir la sociedad que queremos”, manifestó.
Finalmente, alentó a los expertos que participan en este evento, organizado por el Ministerio del Ambiente, a seguir realizando sus investigaciones para generar conocimiento y poner sobre la agenda los retos que el país necesita enfrentar para lograr un desarrollo en beneficio de todas las peruanas y peruanos, siempre tomando en cuenta la conservación del ambiente.

When inaugurating the event “Environmental Science and Technology 2022”, the president maintained that knowledge and research are fundamental pieces to generate added value, expand export capacity and directly impact the economy and the quality of life of the people.
He also stressed that science, technology and innovation are an important tool to achieve equal opportunities, one of the great goals outlined in his government.
“Science, technology and innovation are crucial not only to confront the pandemic but also to move towards a transformative recovery with equality and sustainability. They have been essential for managing the health crisis and producing vaccines in record time, which shows that Peru also needs investment and research,” he asserted.
The head of state specified that his government is convinced that there is no future without research or education, which is why for months it has been promoting articulated work with defined responsibilities to cross-strengthen virtual education, telemedicine, the government digital, among others.
Likewise, he indicated that the globalization of the economy presents new challenges, one of which is to give sustainability and added value to natural resources, reducing the negative impacts on the environment. This is the only way to guarantee that future generations receive better living conditions and that Peru achieves its goal of being a developed country.
“One of the great lessons of the pandemic is the positioning of digitization, as well as the need to accelerate it and close national and regional gaps. There are many challenges in connectivity, digital and scientific literacy to build the society we want”, he said.
Finally, he encouraged the experts participating in this event, organized by the Ministry of the Environment, to continue conducting their research to generate knowledge and put on the agenda the challenges that the country needs to face in order to achieve development for the benefit of all Peruvians and Peruvians, always taking into account the conservation of the environment.
