Mincetur: Más de 60 localidades participarán en “El Perú es sus regiones” para promover el turismo, artesanía y gastronomía en Fiestas Patrias.

Esta es una acción inédita del sector, que se llevará a cabo del 26 al 31 de julio próximo, buscando de manera coordinada, con los gobiernos regionales y locales, promover el orgullo nacional y reimpulsar toda la cadena del turismo.

“Nuestro país es una suma de tradiciones, sabores y colores que nos unen. El Perú es sus regiones busca unirnos como peruanos en las Fiestas Patrias, el momento más importante del año. Tenemos que conocer también nuestro país y sentirnos orgullosos de nuestros atractivos turísticos, artesanos y gastronomía. El turismo interno es trascendental para continuar generando empleo y crecimiento económico”, afirmó el ministro Sánchez.

De esta manera, a través de esta iniciativa el sector acompañará el desarrollo de diversas ferias, festivales y presentaciones artísticas a nivel nacional. Estas actividades son promovidas por gobiernos regionales, municipalidades, direcciones regionales de Comercio Exterior y Turismo, así como por aliados estratégicos del sector turístico y artesanal. Desde PROMPERÚ se brindará el apoyo logístico y/o de infraestructura para el desarrollo de cada actividad.

Con ello, se promoverá el turismo y se difundirá el trabajo de nuestros operadores turísticos, artesanos, guías, turismo comunitario, restaurantes, hospedajes y diversos rubros del sector.

“Este lanzamiento pone en agenda nacional todo lo valioso que tiene el Perú. Recordemos que se han identificado cerca de 1900 recursos turísticos en diferentes regiones del país. Celebramos las Fiestas Patrias con orgullo y reafirmando nuestro compromiso. Somos un Perú viable. No olvidemos cumplir estrictamente con todos los protocolos de bioseguridad. Debemos seguir cuidándonos contra la COVID-19. Quisiera agradecer el trabajo que realiza la Policía Nacional del Perú (PNP), a través de la Dirección de Turismo un aliado estratégico”, comentó el titular del Mincetur.

IMPORTANTE DESAFÍO
El ministro Sánchez señaló que el Gobierno liderado por el presidente Pedro Castrillo está comprometido con la reactivación del sector turismo. Afirmó que se viene trabajando para superar la meta de 1.5 millones de llegada de turistas internacionales a fin de año, a través de un trabajo articulado entre el sector público y privado. También se espera que al 2022 el aporte del sector turismo al PBI pueda alcanzar el 2.5%.

Reveló, además, que en el próximo feriado de Fiestas Patrias (del 28 de julio al 30 de julio) se movilizarían alrededor de 1 millón de turistas a nivel nacional, lo que generaría un impacto económico superior a los US$ 100 millones.

b.- La presentación de esta iniciativa se efectuó en el Auditorio de PROMPERÚ, con la presencia de la presidenta ejecutiva de esa entidad, Amora Carbajal, el director de Turismo de la PNP, Roger Pérez Figueroa, además de representantes del sector público y privado, así como artesanos, cocineros, danzantes, entre otros.

IMPORTANT CHALLENGE
Minister Sánchez pointed out that the Government led by President Pedro Castrillo is committed to reactivating the tourism sector. He stated that work is being done to exceed the goal of 1.5 million international tourist arrivals by the end of the year, through coordinated work between the public and private sectors. It is also expected that by 2022 the contribution of the tourism sector to the GDP may reach 2.5%.

It also revealed that around 1 million tourists nationwide would be mobilized on the next National Holidays (from July 28 to July 30), which would generate an economic impact of more than US$ 100 million.
