En aniversario institucional de la Cancillería peruana presidente Castillo destaca el compromiso, vocación y labor de la imagen del Perú en el exterior.

Así lo manifestó en el marco del 201° aniversario de la creación de la Cancillería en el que destacó el trabajo de dicho sector para contribuir con la paz y el desarrollo del país, además de la adhesión a la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económico (OCDE).

El jefe de Estado, dijo que, tras reunirse con los presidentes de varios países vecinos en diferentes ocasiones, les transmitió la firme voluntad de su gobierno para trabajar principalmente en las zonas de frontera con una agenda proactiva que no haga distingos ideológicos.

“Se reactivaron las reuniones presidenciales y los gabinetes binacionales, los mismos que se habían visto suspendidos por los efectos de la pandemia y los sucesivos cambios presidenciales que se dieron durante el quinquenio anterior”, relató.

En otro momento, dijo que en este segundo año de gobierno tiene muchos retos que cumplir por lo que pidió confianza a la población. “Deben tener la seguridad que trabajaremos incansablemente, con la mayor dedicación y esmero, para impulsar el crecimiento y el progreso del país, también para mejorar las condiciones de vida de todas las peruanas y peruanos”, enfatizó.

PARTICIPACIÓN EN EL EXTERIOR
El mandatario hizo un recuento de las reuniones sostenidas, desde julio del año pasado, a la fecha, entre las que destacó: Encuentro Presidencial y Sexto Gabinete Binacional Perú-Bolivia, Encuentro Presidencial y Sexto Gabinete Binacional Perú-Colombia, Encuentro Presidencial y Décimo Cuarto Gabinete Binacional Perú-Ecuador, Encuentro Presidencial Perú-Brasil y la transición de mando en Chile.

Asimismo, la Sexta Cumbre de la Comunidad de Estados Latinoamericanos y Caribeños (Celac), el Consejo Permanente de la Organización de Estados Americanos (OEA), la 76° Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas (ONU), la Décimo Sexta Cumbre de la Alianza del Pacífico y la Décimo Primera Cumbre de las Américas.

PERÚ EN LOS OJOS DEL MUNDO
El jefe de Estado también se refirió a las próximas actividades internacionales que tendrán como protagonista a nuestro país, entre las que destacan la Asamblea de la OEA en octubre.

Además, desde este año Perú asumirá la presidencia pro témpore de la Comunidad Andina (CAN); en el 2023 se asumirá la presidencia de la Alianza del Pacífico y, en el 2024, la del Foro de Cooperación Económica Asia-Pacífico (APEC, por sus siglas en inglés).

“Estos cuatro eventos, de magnitud histórica, serán una oportunidad para que el Perú continúe aportando en fortalecer el diálogo, la cooperación, la integración, el respeto a los derechos y libertades más fundamentales, así como la seguridad política, económica y social”, puntualizó.

“The presidential meetings and the binational cabinets were reactivated, the same ones that had been suspended due to the effects of the pandemic and the successive presidential changes that took place during the previous five-year period,” he said.

At another point, he said that in this second year of government he has many challenges to meet, which is why he asked the population for confidence. “You must be sure that we will work tirelessly, with the greatest dedication and care, to promote the growth and progress of the country, also to improve the living conditions of all Peruvians,” he emphasized.

PARTICIPATION ABROAD The president recounted the meetings held, since July of last year, to date, among which he highlighted: Presidential Meeting and Sixth Peru-Bolivia Binational Cabinet, Presidential Meeting and Sixth Peru-Colombia Binational Cabinet, Presidential Meeting and Fourteenth Peru-Ecuador Binational Cabinet, Peru-Brazil Presidential Meeting and the transition of command in Chile.

Likewise, the Sixth Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), the Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS), the 76th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), the Sixteenth Summit of the Alliance of the Pacific and the Eleventh Summit of the Americas.

PERU IN THE EYES OF THE WORLD
The head of state also referred to the upcoming international activities that will have our country as the protagonist, among which the OAS Assembly in October stands out.

In addition, from this year Peru will assume the pro tempore presidency of the Andean Community (CAN); in 2023 the presidency of the Pacific Alliance will be assumed and, in 2024, that of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC).

“These four events, of historic magnitude, will be an opportunity for Peru to continue contributing to strengthening dialogue, cooperation, integration, respect for the most fundamental rights and freedoms, as well as political, economic and social security,” pointed out.
