“No soy parte de una red criminal y le he dicho a la Fiscal de la Nación que voy a demostrar mi inocencia en cualquier espacio. A nadie le he robado, a nadie he matado. Acá me ha puesto el pueblo y voy a responder siempre por el pueblo”, dijo el mandatario en declaraciones a la prensa en Palacio de Gobierno, tras participar de una diligencia de declaración indagatoria en el Ministerio Público.

El jefe de Estado afirmó que no le resta o perjudica asistir a las citaciones por parte de la Fiscalía, pero que no acudirá a casos mediáticos ya que tiene una agenda con el país.

“Lo mediático no me ha elegido, a mí me ha elegido el pueblo peruano y cuantas veces me convoquen tengo que ir”, dijo el presidente Castillo, quien reiteró haber sido elegido por el pueblo como presidente de la República.

El mandatario negó cualquier obstrucción a la justicia y por el contrario dijo que siempre que se requiera colaborará con las investigaciones. “Muchas veces se dice que se está obstruyendo a la justicia, que se está haciendo esto o lo otro. En ese marco quiero decir que yo estoy totalmente dispuesto a responder a la justicia, lo voy a hacer siempre”.

El jefe de Estado cuestionó que se lo vincule a hechos delictivos sin ninguna prueba que fundamenten las acusaciones. “Se crea una torre, se crea una pirámide para hacer creer al pueblo que hay un testigo, que hay otro, un seudo colaborador, colaboradora, para meterle a la cabeza al pueblo peruano de que soy parte de una red criminal”.

Agregó “yo no me voy a prestar a esos casos porque he sido elegido por el pueblo, tengo una agenda como presidente de la República y estoy bastante preocupado por lo que está pasando en el país en cuanto a los temas más urgentes”, recalcó.

NUEVO GABINETE
Al referirse a la composición del nuevo gabinete, el presidente Castillo, dijo que a partir de hoy se está encargando del tema y convocó a los actores políticos, a la clase política, a la sociedad civil y a las organizaciones.

En tal sentido, informó que el nuevo Gabinete Ministerial jurará este viernes, luego de que el titular de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros (PCM), Aníbal Torres, presentara su renuncia al cargo.

“El día de mañana vamos a juramentar a este Gabinete. Y en la medida de que se acerquen los actores políticos que creen en el país, que creen en la democracia, bienvenidos. Abro este espacio a los demás partidos políticos para que de una vez hagamos un gabinete de ancha base para trabajar por el Perú”, puntualizó.

The president denied any obstruction of justice and on the contrary said that whenever required he will collaborate with the investigations. “Many times it is said that justice is being obstructed, that this or that is being done. In this context, I want to say that I am totally willing to respond to justice, I will always do so”.

The head of state questioned that he is linked to criminal acts without any evidence to support the accusations. “A tower is created, a pyramid is created to make the people believe that there is a witness, that there is another, a pseudo-collaborator, a collaborator, to put the Peruvian people in their heads that I am part of a criminal network.”

He added “I am not going to lend myself to those cases because I have been elected by the people, I have an agenda as President of the Republic and I am quite concerned about what is happening in the country in terms of the most urgent issues,” he stressed.

NEW CABINET
Referring to the composition of the new cabinet, President Castillo said that as of today he is taking charge of the issue and summoned political actors, the political class, civil society and organizations.

In this sense, he reported that the new Ministerial Cabinet will be sworn in this Friday, after the head of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM), Aníbal Torres, presented his resignation from the position.

“Tomorrow we are going to swear in this Cabinet. And to the extent that political actors who believe in the country, who believe in democracy, come closer, welcome. I open this space to the other political parties so that once and for all we can create a broad-based cabinet to work for Peru”, he pointed out.
