Las importaciones ascendieron a US$ 29 mil 454 millones en el primer semestre del año, logrando un aumento de 23.3% respecto al mismo periodo del año pasado cuando el monto ascendió a US$ 23 mil 887 millones, informó el Centro de Investigación de Economía y Negocios Globales de la Asociación de Exportadores CIEN-ADEX.

El crecimiento se fundamentó principalmente en los mayores precios de importación de los combustibles, fertilizantes, insumos industriales y alimentos, ocasionados por los problemas de oferta (por clima adverso, menor producción de la OPEP y nuevas olas de Covid-19 en China), la prolongación del conflicto entre Rusia y Ucrania y los altos costos logísticos.

En el primer semestre del 2022 la metalmecánica (US$ 8 mil 593 millones) lideró las importaciones al concentrar el 29.2% del total (destacaron los celulares), seguida de los químicos (US$ 5 mil 753 millones, resaltaron los medicamentos), hidrocarburos (US$ 5 mil 099 millones) y agro (US$ 3 mil 508 millones) que de forma conjunta representaron el 78% del íntegro.

El reporte del CIEN-ADEX consideró que, en general, los productos importados se siguen afectando por el incremento de los precios de las materias primas para la industria y los combustibles.

En el ranking de bienes más dinámicos sobresalen algunos como el nitrato de amonio (842%), carburreactores para la aviación (575.8%), las partes de turbinas a gas (374.4%), fibra de coco (251.8%), planchas de acero (196.6%) y tejidos de mezclilla-denim (178.8%).

POR USO
Según características de uso, las materias primas y productos intermedios (US$ 16 mil 293 millones) concentraron el 55.3% del total, con un incremento de 43.8%. Los principales fueron los de uso industrial como los químicos farmacéuticos que concentraron el 12.6% (procedieron principalmente de China.

Los bienes de capital y materiales de construcción (US$ 7 mil 551 millones 300 mil) representaron el 25.6% (evolución de 2.5%), sobresalieron los bienes de capital para la industria, primordialmente la maquinaria industrial. Por su parte, los bienes de consumo (cerca de US$ 5 mil 596 millones) representaron el 19% y fueron liderados por los de consumo no duradero (destacaron los alimentos).

China (US$ 7 mil 721 millones) fue el principal proveedor del Perú al concentrar el 26.2% del total (resaltaron los celulares), le siguió EE.UU. (US$ 7 mil 027 millones), Brasil (US$ 2 mil 104 millones 600 mil), Argentina (US$ 1,441 millones 800 mil) y México (US$ 1,132 millones 900 mil).

EMPRESAS
En el primer semestre del año las importaciones estuvieron a cargo de 23 mil 983 empresas peruanas (caída de -4.1% respecto al mismo periodo del 2021). Según el tamaño, el 70.4% fueron microempresas, el 23.6% pequeñas, 4.9% grandes y el 1.1% medianas, con lo cual, las mipymes representaron el 95.1% del total.

El mayor incremento en el número de empresas fue en las grandes con un alza de 8.1%, mientras que las microempresas fueron las más afectadas con una caída de -6%.
